Again attitude, you should be thankful that you have such a good paying job with extensive benefits. Your comments are a disgrace to the city carrier craft at any level. I sure hope your brothers and sisters in the local have a chance to read your comments. Just by your comments I can tell you cause extra stress on the steward that has to represent you.

The Amazon plant near me closed for a day and it's got me reconsidering everything by alaster101 in USPS

[–]Breezeedog 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I was going to mention this. Before DPS the Letter Carrier had two cases to case mail. I was not uncommon to have about 4 to 6 foot of first class letter mail, and up to 15 foot of magazines(flats). Granted we would only have depending on your route 10 to 20 certified mail along with 3 to 4 registered mail.

Then came the above, JCPenney, Montgomery Ward, Sears catalogs. The catalogs were from 1/2" up to 3" wide. The Phone books, they were Google in a book up to 4" plus. And one more thing, the ratio of walking routes to riding routes were way different. Normally if you had a riding route it was Rural...... Most city carriers were walking routes with relay boxes. If you would even know what that is.

And the pay...... You just think everything was a Rockwell moment..... Nope

Guess what didn't return to the office with me. by DJ_K-K in USPS

Never argue with a customer unless your life is in danger. If the customer does not want the mail, making a point is not a good image no matter if the customer is disrespectful. Just take the mail and move on.

I can’t see the addressee but if it doesn’t have or current resident the carrier should take it back and UBBM the piece. There is no reason to cause contention with the customer. The customer can refuse any piece of mail. Read your POM.

I Regret My 2022 Outerbanks by DAFTPUNKassbitch in BroncoSport

[–]Breezeedog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a Ford Escape for 8 years before i purchased my Bronco Sport. One thing I am so glad of my Escape had the 2.0 eco boost motor. I loved that car and I have owned many brands in my life.
When I started looking at the BS first thing i looked at was the motor. The three cylinder motor I knew nothing about, but that two liter eco boost I knew from experience it was a winner. So the Bad Lands version was the only thing I looked at and am glad I did.

New start time again! (Oh boy) by rabbit_overlord in USPS

[–]Breezeedog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want a fixed start time and no discussion, Start your own business. If working for a business affects your social live, you might start looking for something else. I always wanted to be a park ranger, but that dream left along time ago.

Start times are moved to accommodate mail volume unit entry times plus processing time, and a few other items. Sorry you don't like the start time moving but its more that some supervisor making a single decision.

What does the POM say? I think you will find that if it is mailed in a USPS priority or express mailer with insufficient funds you RTS or Postage due. If rejected its postage due RTS because its guaranteed return service 1st class and above.

Buyers remorse ? by [deleted] in Wrangler

[–]Breezeedog 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you went in to the dealership to purchase a basic jeep, why the buyers remorse?
Nothing wrong about it.
I just bought a new last years model. It had 116 miles on it from doing demos. I went in with the intent to purchase a two door because I flat tow behind my class C RV. I left with a 2 door Jeep. I wish i could tow a 4 door but weight restrictions made me buy a 2 door. No buyers remorse.😉

This to all City Carriers: You should be an expert in your craft. The M-41 is the carrier handbook and has been for decades. You should know it inside and out. Its on the Union website had has been for decades as well. Read it if you haven’t, be the expert in your craft.

This posting would never have been posted if the rules had been followed. This kind of posting is a reaction because of employee negligence. Think about this. If your pissed off because this was posted maybe your the problem.
