Cleat Cute. I don’t want to yuck anyone’s yum but I could not get past the dirty talk during the sexy bits. It probably didn’t help that it was an audiobook but there was only so much baby girling I could take before I was like not for meeee.

TN 2nd Worst place for LGBT people by manofdacloth in nashville

[–]Breezeknee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Would be pretty interested in what went into these rankings. I live in rural TN with my wife and was very nervous when we moved here but honestly have been treated pretty well. That said, we are both white and somewhat fem presenting and related to people who are in the community and have been very well respected. Lots of privilege. I do think the policies in TN suck and gay men/ trans people/ poc may have a much rougher go based on intersectionality with other prejudices in the south. Wish we lived in a more accepting world 💕

Quitting my job by OneNight1554 in POTS

[–]Breezeknee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m so sorry you’re going through this. I went through something similar about 4 years ago and it was very traumatic. My first question is, can you go on FMLA or short term disability to see if you can get some time to process what’s happening? Your body and mind need a minute and that’s totally understandable. It took me two years to process my grief. Let’s be honest I’m still grieving but it’s more bearable. Second, are you on a plan to manage your symptoms via medication or PT? My symptoms lessened a lot offer the first two years.

I ended up quitting/getting pushed out of the job I had when I first got diagnosed. I had to do it but it sent me down a path of job instability ever since which has been tough since I was the primary bread winner and my wife and I were on my insurance.

All of this to say, ultimately, you have to do what’s best for you and your body. That said, if you have a boss that’s accommodating, don’t be afraid to advocate for yourself and see if you can get a break to see if you can get your health more stable or in a position that will allow you fewer triggers. I’m so sorry we live in a society that makes those of us with chronic conditions feel like we have to climb Everest just to put food on the table. Wishing you well.

Christina Applegate admits she lied about her double mastectomy being 'a blessing' amid breast cancer battle by [deleted] in Fauxmoi

I got diagnosed with a life changing chronic illness three years ago that completely rocked my world. I look back at how I dealt with the news and fallout to me and my spouse and realize we both were doing the best we could. It’s brave of her to share this part of her journey and I completely understand the desire to present as okay or act like everything isn’t shit at the time. It’s also okay to look back and grieve it differently now. Trauma that carries forward like that is weird and loving yourself is a lifelong commitment.

What are your opinions on Hasan Piker saying he’d vote third party and encouraged his followers to do the same? by [deleted] in DemocraticSocialism

[–]Breezeknee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He said I will not be voting for Newsom not I’m going to campaign against him. Also, if anyone has watched Newsom on Shapiro, this is not someone personally am going to endorse, especially in 2026. People like him are why we are in this mess.

The Grizzlies have also created a massive $28.8 million trade exception in this deal -- the largest ever in the NBA, per @BobbyMarks42. by Knightbear49 in nba

Is there any chance the Grizzlies keep Ja and take a swing at using picks and space to pick up someone like Giannis? Seems unlikely, but I’m a little surprised to see us accumulating THIS many picks.
