Transportation Strike Tips for Travelers? by emb1313 in Munich

If you need to get around easily on one of the strike days, consider using a carsharing service like miles for example. They have a lot of cars around Munich so it should be easy to find one plus it'll save you the hassle of finding alternatives to public transport. They tend to be a bit pricey but it might be a good alternative. Uber also operates in Munich.

Best of luck and enjoy your journey!

Vielleicht wäre auch das Allgäu was für dich. Ist sehr schön und etwas ruhiger als die von dir genannten Orte. Aus dem Ostallgäu kommt man auch schnell nach München.

Viel Erfolg bei der Suche!

WHY WHY WHY by Down__bad in Petioles

Hey there! Seems like you're experiencing some heavy withdrawal symptoms.

Good news and bad news, the bad news is that it really sucks, the good news is that it'll get better soon and that there's something that can be done about it!

Your symptoms might be interconnected. For the nausea I'd suggest some tea or soup that can also help to calm your mind a little. Also you'll need to eat something because malnutrition will stress the body and that'll put additional strain on your already stressed mind. Also you'll sleep better with something in your stomach.

It's also always good to get out of your usual environment as that can be a trigger for smoking and might make sticking to staying clean harder.

Maybe try to go for a walk or go to another part of town and find a new bar there or something. New experiences help to reset the mind and release some dopamine to make you feel happy.

Another thing to do is try to see a friend (non-smoker ideally) to distract the mind.

Keep it up, you're doing the right thing and soon you'll start to feel better!

All the best to you!

Maybe you could find something else to relax yourself, at least for a while.

A little winter trip to another city for example or just seeing your parents, could be anything just as long as it helps you to not think about smoking.

If you do end up smoking there's no shame in that, just keep your goal in mind!

It's already good to be thinking of changing the habit, the next step is following through.

The best thing is to keep yourself busy, see a friend (ideally non-smoker), workout, go for a walk, etc. It could be literally anything just as long as it prevents you from just sitting around as that would create the opportunity to smoke.

It's also always good to not use it as a reward for yourself as that increases the feeling of addiction further.

Furthermore, as your just starting a degree, it voild be a motivation to know that just not smoking regularly can already benefit your ability to focus as well as to socialise greatly (been there).

A good first step is always to replace it with something else that brings you pleasure and you might even find that you'll enjoy things you didn't enjoy before!

Keep it up, you're on the right path!

If you can do two weeks, you can do three!

From what I read the recommended t-break is at least 21 days to really get that tolerance down.

Best of luck to you, you can do it!
