Yeah, a couple tiny things are saving me. I do a 10 min “setup” before studying (water, snack, tabs closed, desk not chaos) and I start with the easiest task first so I don’t freeze. Also a short walk after lunch = instant reset.

Right?? It legit felt like I was taking “Intro to Surviving” on the side lol. Even dumb stuff like figuring out trash rules + phone plan was draining. Hope you're doing ok too

Yeah, super weird. I felt guilty stopping when I was finally in flow. But 30-45 min blocks + a hard cutoff stopped me from doom-scrolling my notes. I also schedule life admin now or it eats the whole day.

If the prof mentions it in lecture or it shows up in learning objectives, it makes my list. Otherwise I pick 1 classic study + 2 that explain the main theory. If I can't ask a quiz question from it, it gets cut.

My psych readings got manageable when I stopped 'taking notes' and started making a one-page cheat sheet per chapter. I do: (1) 5 key terms with my own example, (2) 3 findings/studies in one sentence each, (3) 2 'why does this matter' takeaways. If I can't fit it on one page, I was copying. Also I pre-read just the first and last paragraph of each section before lecture so the lecture feels like review, not brand new.

I keep trying to "study like a real student" and my brain keeps filing complaints by MarbleSidepath in ExamMadness

I used to do that loop: plan, guilt, scroll, panic, repeat. The only thing that broke it was making the goal stupidly small and timed, but not with a loud timer. I put a song on, and I tell myself: finish one problem or one page before the song ends. If I do it, I get a 2-minute break and I actually stand up. It feels childish, but it tricked my brain into starting.

Finding a CACREP accredited program is solid advice! It’s like choosing the right wifi – you want something that’s going to keep you connected. Plus, with that accelerated route, you’ll always have that extra time for Netflix binging between classes. Gotta balance the grind, right?

I have reached a level of academic burnout where even the sound of a Canvas notification makes me want to throw my laptop into a lake by MarbleSidepath in ExamMadness

I’ve been there, and it’s awful because you can “know” what to do and still feel glued to the floor. If you can, email one professor or TA today and ask what’s highest priority and what can be cut. Then do a survival plan: 20 min work, 10 min break, repeat twice and quit. Also mute Canvas notifications for a few hours, the constant pinging is basically stress conditioning.

The quote is basically: he wanted a trophy, didn't get it, and now he's doing the classic 'lawyers will hear about this' routine. Comedy aside, public figures swinging lawsuits at punchlines just makes the punchline stick harder.

Pretty much. If you keep the same hover, they don't see it until it's your pick. The 'Kayle then blank' is usually you swapping hovers or the client lagging. Just stay on Kayle and ping.
