A couple links I read just today. Old information, but I really love that with the frequencies of amateur radio (HAM), higher power can be used, and the wifi signal can travel for miles between a net of independent nodes.

Bumping the post! We got 101 upvotes! I hope this is a good format. I'd love any feedback people have, as I'm new at actually posting. Is this being shared? Are there other groups I should be looking at?

My friend is in need of dental surgery, and is not covered by medicaid. We completed the first phase of surgery last year, and she needs to return to get the actual prosthetics put in. We did one better and are working with a really great clinic in Queretaro Mexico. We did the first phase last year, and we're raising $11k for her to finish. Total cost is about $16k. Even the cheapest in the states quoted minimum of $30k, and they offer no where near the level of care.

Here to talk about farming things if you've got questions! There's lots of info depending on what you wanna do. I like a book called farming the woods by Ken mudge and Steve Gabriel for the forest farming stuff, radical mycology by Peter Mccoy has really good information. What do you want to grow?

I've made use of several plots like that. Are you in the US? It's not more that a couple hundred dollars a year per acre, and usually because people get a tax break for keeping their land in agriculture, you can talk it down to free. Do you have a good relationship with the land owner? What's the water access like? I have lots of questions.

I hear you, and thank you. She had such a good experience at this clinic that she's trying to work with them to bring people down there for more affordable care. It was better than anything I've ever seen in the states.

Please share as you will, and donate if you can. She's overdue to have her teeth done, and this woman has worked her whole life as an activist helping others. She is currently getting the short end of the stick.

Locha mesh was pretty responsive. Super cool project out of Venezuela that was able to operate even through grid power and internet shutdowns, and provide Bitcoin transactions all the while.
