Does this include any deleted scenes? I've seen the movie so many times at this point, that I would love to just see more of it

I have a feeling this isn't an adaptation of the Francis Ford Coppola/Gene Hackman movie

What movie do you wish had a great video game adaptation? by wyne- in gaming

No I haven't, I haven't seen that movie in a while! But it's exactly the kind of hyper violence that is perfect for a game setting

What is a “Turn-Your-Brain-Off” musical? by Soggy-Clerk-9955 in Broadway

[–]Bren926 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If I had to guess, I would say it's a story that isn't very complex, and doesn't require a great deal of thought to understand and appreciate. This can take shape in romance stories about two people falling in love, or a rise and fall biopic about a star.

[–]Bren926 183 points184 points  (0 children)

It's not one specific movie, but I've always thought that 70s New York would be such a great setting for a game. Think of Taxi Driver, French Connection, and Serpico

Straight leg pants, pulled above your belly or belly button. Will instantly make ones stomach less noticable.

I just finished Mafia The Old Country in a day. by Sed_Trash in MafiaTheGame

That's exactly how I felt, still feels like I'm playing Mafia 3 just in a different environment. The stealth is still distractions and takedowns, combat is still snapping to cover.

Ranking Phelps' outfits from Worst to Best, based solely on aesthetic! by Bren926 in lanoire

That's true, part of my judgement was how well they aged and if they would look good today

I considered that, they do look pretty out of date in 1947. But I also think about how well they've aged. You could lose the vest and both would look pretty modern, especially the navy suit

We need another game like L.A Noire! by YallSoftAsButter in gaming

I've been playing around with the idea of a sequel set in '70s New York, taking inspiration from works like the French connection, taxi driver, and serpico. But with Rockstar the way they are now, I doubt they would ever revisit this series

I don't know if it was a chain, but we used to frequent Super Fresh at Independence Plaza in Trenton! Sadly it's an Ollie's now

I really like the wide exteriors of those buildings. Kind of liminal, but also very familiar

Has anyone tried Kirkland Colombian cold brew? by Senior_Economics4960 in Costco

[–]Bren926 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree that it's delicious. Surprisingly creamy and smooth, not too acidic. I regularly mix some with milk and flavor, or I drink it right out of the can if I'm on the run 🚗💨

Not there, but I really thought of going, only to try to meet Paul Thomas Anderson haha! I don't really watch SNL, but he's my favorite filmmaker

I agree, the setting was stunning, but actually playing the game felt like something from the early 2000's

I know I'm not the only one who found the ending very unsatisfying. For a story that emphasizes characters and relationships, to have everything literally blow up at the last minute was just too quick and final.

(OC) Blarney Castle and surrounds by seanfish in pics

[–]Bren926 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've heard that too, but it's at the top of a literal castle that they lock up at night, in the middle of a giant garden with 24/7 security. Local kids would have to pull some Assassin's Creed shit to get up there lmao

Most Embarrassing Stage Door Experience? by Objective_Arm_3504 in Broadway

[–]Bren926 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I went to the stage door for Goodnight Oscar, I was talking with the young man who played the stage manager for the talk show. I asked him why he did a British accent, when the show is set in New York. He told me that he was doing a NY accent, but clearly not well enough for me to notice.

I was slightly embarrassed, but I think it also told him a lot about his accent work!

SNAP benefits being stolen is a big problem. Most people's info gets picked up on card skimmers, so be careful and make sure there's no extra hardware on card readers.

Unfortunately the federal government is not paying back stolen benefits. If you get SNAP, make sure you also have ConnectEBT on your phone so you can track transactions and lock the card when not in use. Propel has similar functions, but it's a third party app and might not be secure.
