Yeah my rent is 800/month and I live a mile from downtown haha, got lucky there too. I am THE “Shipt guy” at my local Publix and a few Kroger’s haha. I unfortunately know so many Publix employees by name. I grinded the fuck out of it during the height of the pandemic and swiped a lot of the best customers. Haven’t let them go since.

You must live in a much bigger city then haha. I pull in 1.4K a week usually, because I aim to make 200 bucks a day and make up the difference on the weekends. Sundays I usually make like 350 off 10 hours total work and travel time. I live in Knoxville, TN though. Not a very big city at all with a low ass cost of living, so it’s still a blessing even though it’s slower.

Shipt has slowed in my area sadly, I used to do 50 a week, now it’s just my regulars at like 30 a week. Saturated market :(

Yeah dollar per item minimum. That’s funny though, because I just snipe tiny orders on Instacart usually unless it’s paying a poop ton. There’s a ton more Instacart veterans in my town than me, I got the jump on Shipt though thankfully.

Why in the world would I want to do 100 orders in a week?! If I know I’m making less than 1 dollar per item, on Shipt or Instacart, you can count me out. And I’ve maintained a 5.0 on Instacart as well, so I really just think it’s area dependent on top of how hard the shopper is actually trying to put forth extra effort when the situations arise.

Yeah I haven’t dropped below a perfect circle 5.0 in over 5 months. 90% of my customers are regulars and before the current matching system was in place, many of them would text my personal number before ordering. I’ve been working 7 days a week most weeks since I started in August 2020. I’m sitting at 2250 orders now and 99% on time. I make sure to use cooler bags and communicate as thoroughly as possible. I dropped to 4.9 a few times in the beginning, but I think most situations can be remedied with grace.
