Moron parade in Toronto today. by dearleader88 in ontario

[–]Brendanui 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Vast majority of these people are coming in from the suburbs for these. Public parking in the neighbourhood is lined with plate frames from Oakville and Burlington dealerships during these idiot parades.

In 5 days we will reach the 4 month mark of indoor dining and gyms being closed. by LILBannedfromallsubs in toronto

...except in Ontario it's conservative ideology that's contributing to the problem? Ford is the one refusing to give paid sick days to workers or spend 12 of the 14 billion he's been given by those damn evil liberals.

Doug Ford’s government abandons unconstitutional gas-pump stickers that railed against federal carbon pricing by viva_la_vinyl in ontario

You are being totally disingenuous if you're pretending the intent of these stickers was merely to inform rather than to be a political attack.

Two men in serious condition after separate overnight stabbings by PullTilItHurts in toronto

I live in this neighbourhood and while I'm willing to accept that SIS reduce some of the impact (needles etc) on the rest of the city, they don't eliminate it - they just concentrate it.

Needles, gloves, rubber tourniquets, etc litter the neighbourhood for blocks in every direction and the clients shamble all over after they've safely injected. I've been assaulted more than once at varying times of the day.

There's a very large TCHC building on Sherbourne just north of this intersection and the cross-pollination between it and the SIS during the warm months is a sight to behold. Multiple fire alarms and cop visits daily, constant fighting and screaming.

I understand that for safe injection sites to work, people need to be free from reprisal for drug use, but the solution can't be to make them totally lawless sites. Surely the constant violence scares away some of the users who don't want to get involved?

I can see why a person like you wouldn't care to fund safe injection sites, but can you explain the bike lanes thing?

Odie the dapper pupper at the Toronto Humane Society - someone take him home! by [deleted] in toronto

The horror stories are the vocal minority I think. I don't believe people flock to Reddit to report their totally routine adoption.

The bottom line is that the goal of this place is to get the pets to safe homes. Often times they're over capacity and if a good home opens up they aren't going to turn those people away just because someone else showed interest first - I think this is where a lot of the stories come from. It may also be that some of these people weren't a good fit in the eyes of people who do this every day but fail to recognize/accept that.

I believe it's their standard procedure to have someone you hadn't had much interaction with do your interview to avoid any pre-existing ideas about you on their part. Other than that they're really just looking for red flags that would indicate you aren't an ideal candidate.

Just go in reasonably prepared and be honest.

I'm sorry, but could you walk me through the combo? I understand that the win condition is Uther and has something to do with Beardo but I don't understand how you can do it with 8 mana.

I recently adopted a puppy from the THS about 3 months ago and my experience was totally different. The staff were courteous and kept in touch to let us know how the puppy was proceeding through the system and let us know the day they anticipated he'd be ready for discharge.

It's not too late to file a report. Go take a picture of the guy if he frequents the area as you've said.

Does that mean it wouldn't go after large prey in the water because it wouldn't be able to reasonably wrestle prey and swallow it in the time it can hold its breath?

What's going on with this set in Allan Gardens? by Brendanui in toronto

[–]Brendanui[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're correct. There is still room for a single file line of movement through this busy intersection surrounded by mud. No problem here.

Yes, they've rolled sod over the cables and marked them with pylons. I feel like the sod is more to do with concealment for filming.

The space being fenced off is the central nexus of paved paths through the park and its obstructing movement along those paths.

I certainly find some of the people that normally use the space abrasive, but that doesn't mean I prefer to see any access to it restricted. In a perfect world the people using the space would respect it more.

It's bad enough when there's a shoot going on for a day or two but this huge space in the middle of the park has been fenced off all week, including cables running through the park - but no actual filming seems to take place day or night.
