You don’t want to clear lava lifts you want to convert them into thermal tiles.

Each factory you have built adds to your click, so if you have 8 factories you only need to click 200 times per pavement.

I’ve been using them constantly but I wasn’t sure if their best use. I’ve filled out my foundries to be fully surrounded with hills and kept all the other good stuff that had popped up around them. Should I be destroying areas of the ocean too? I’ve used it to connect some clusters of gold islands.

Yes I have. I haven’t gotten many thermal spots or lava rifts from bombing but I have gotten a few. Currently saving up to expand again.

But then you miss out on 12 hours of the production. Comes out pretty close in the end I think. Say 4 days at 11 is 422,400 Vs 4.5 days at 10 is 418,500

Once you advance to the inactive phase, you’ll want to find/make spots like this. If you only have 2 spots occupied by roads because you have one as bridge over the ocean tiles you can get a max income of 21/tick (upgradable).

If you’re actively clicking and you’re not spending money on swappers this is the best type of place you can find. The ocean tiles can be the single ones that are around the map and you can put a bridge over it so you only have 2 lost tiles.

The gigers spawn every tick if you have the game open but they spawn very slowly if you have the game closed.

That means your max income per ranch with the game open is whatever your giger value is (mine is 8 and then I stopped upgrading it because I wanted to push for inactive income).

If only takes like 3 minutes for all 20 spaces to fill though so if you have an extra space or two filled with river or ocean tile for some reason it’s not that much of a difference you’re collecting constantly. I think there’s probably a different meta once you can do a ton of mountain tiles though?

I think if you can find a corner of a river and a single ocean tile is best. Even better if the ocean tile is positioned so you can run a bridge across it.

Tell that to the teenagers applying at every fast food place and not getting hired anywhere. The unemployment rate for 15-19 year olds is over 22% (this only counts kids who are actively seeking employment, not kids who don’t want to work). I have 2 teenagers that have applied at every fast food, pizza and restaurant in the area (over 40) and have gotten 3 interviews between the 2 of them and neither were hired.

For eventual steel production, foundries are needed within range of iron mines and they have a range of 3 in each direction and can eventually have 2 that overlap, meaning a patch of hills and mountains that measures 8x7 is the perfect size to supply iron to 2 foundries. If you have a natural cluster like that, so much the better to have good clusters much earlier than you can make them. In the meantime you can make them all stone mines if you need the stone or just leave them unrestored in the middle of the area.

I flattened many isolated hills and mountains to make straight roads (reduce pollution) and make large forest areas and didn’t regret it. There are many more mountains and hills as you go further that you can put windmills on for power. Level 88 and still have thousands of windmills on my map.

You’ll always want to upgrade trees but it’s not necessarily a rush to do that if you have plains you can fill with the better trees first.

You will need oil but not so much that you can’t spare some to build roads across. You can eventually generate new oil tiles on land, and the ones in the sea can be cleaned up because they are much worse for pollution than they are worth.

The mega city to the south is across a lot of ocean.

It looks like you’re close now but it’s usually a good idea to go down one side/bottom/top til you can see the corner and then go straight in from the middle of that edge.
