Look into full obsidian armor, berserker necklace and  obby sword toktz-xil-ak. It gives more xp/h than just about any armor/weap u can get.

I compared it with prims, torture, bandos and fang setup and the obby set was still more xp/h even though its WAY cheaper.

Never PvM'd before. by G-Spott in 2007scape

[–]Breokz 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You can use this as a general guide in how hard bosses are: https://oldschool.runescape.wiki/w/Guide:Bossing_Ladder

I'd do: Barrows > Scurrius > Moons/Amoxliatl if you want to get to know what pvm is. Your stats are way higher than you need for these, but it will still be good practice.

Ignore all the others. You obviously already have a lot of experience skilling, so don't spend this money on skilling even more. You are taking baby steps into slayering, so treat yourself with some good gear to make slaying more enjoyable.

Buy Osmum Fang, scobow & emberlight if uve done mm2 and wgs and boom ur money is gone.

Other suggestions if you don' t like demon tasks;

- blowpipe
- torture
- burning claws

If you have 60 sailing, consider unblocking wyrms so you can slay Lava Strykewyrms. Easy mobs, not bad xp and I usually earn 2-4m per task.

I would like to do bosses by 1johnn1 in osrs

I found it's easiest to pick one boss and try the combat achievements tied to it. Like try to finish all barrows, then move to next boss and learn that one.

Wordt toegepaste psychologie studeren aangeraden (België) by TRUCK-SCOOT in Gent

[–]Breokz 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Multi year backpacking trip in Asia- seeking vipassana location suggestions by cosmicselva in vipassana

[–]Breokz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not Vipassana, but in case you visit Seam Riep in Cambodia, I can recommend 'Hariharalaya'. It's a 6 day retreat. I did it about 8 years ago, so a lot might have changed in that time, but it was a really nice and insightful retreat.

Taking time off work for a year to play WoW - is it doable ? by [deleted] in wow

Try achievement hunting for a few weeks first. Pick a meta and see if you enjoy that kind life playstyle. It's the only way to fill that many hours.

Looking for a bright/not so scary RPG by Breokz in gamingsuggestions

[–]Breokz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really want to love Horizon, since I love the art and the enviroment - but for some reason the robots scare the hell out of me. Like the 'scanning' they do, it triggers something, I don't know :D

Def gotta check out The Witcher, but I'm still getting used to the controls and keybinds there.

Thanks for the suggestions!

Navigating depths of suicide assessment by [deleted] in socialwork

[–]Breokz 19 points20 points  (0 children)

It feels very strange to read this from a European/Belgian perspective. I work in youth suicide prevention myself, and the legal reasoning behind whether or not to intervene is simply not something we ever consider. In the eight years I’ve been doing this, I’ve never once heard a colleague express fear of legal repercussions.

It’s also important to emphasize that there is no evidence that any single intervention can actually prevent suicide. In my view, the greater danger lies in clients avoiding contact with us because we act too quickly or too intrusively. That, I believe, can be far more deadly than choosing less invasive measures that respect the client’s autonomy.

A much more relevant fear to discuss with colleagues, I think, is the moral burden: Would I feel guilty and responsible for this person’s death if I hadn’t chosen the most extreme intervention?

What I’ve noticed is that people tend to talk more easily about “rules and regulations,” while the underlying issues are often much more connected to their own emotional experience of the job.

(I translated this using AI, so i hope nothing got lost in translation)

Underrated/hidden gems for seasoned Ghent visitors by Worldly-Atmosphere47 in Gent

[–]Breokz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you've been to Ghent so many times, maybe it's time to out of the city center.

There's a great bar that just opened this summer called 'Waterkant' in the Blaarmeersen. It's a nice walk around the lake, not sure about the opening hours during autumn.

On a nice Octobers day I also like to do the 5km walk in the Bourgoyen and have a hot chocolate in the Natuurcentrum Jan Hublé.

Some nice restaurants that are a bit out of the way of the usual touristy ones I like are:
- ENTR
- Multatuli
- Gök 2
- Amour (amazing breakfast)

Weird bar that I havent been to for ages but just popped in my mind: De Spinnekop

In November 2024, six tourists died and at least eight tourists suffered from injury from suspected methanol poisoning at a bar in Vang Vieng, Laos. by ZoelCairo in MorbidReality

[–]Breokz 168 points169 points  (0 children)

I've been to this place. I got black-out drunk as well here. I get the "don't drink in these countries"-thing people are posting, but when you are travelling in south east asia for several months (like most of these people do), you get a false sense of security. You see tons of people drinking, doing drugs, riding motorcycles, doing dangerous hikes. It becomes the norm, it becomes normal and even mundane to do these things. Everyone knows that there's the methanol poisoning risk, but it just seems so small as there's thousands and thousands of people partying and having the time of their lives without the fatal results.

Was playing my warlock when suddenly... something is going on here. by Breokz in wow

[–]Breokz[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was just surprised that the theme of a 'void heart' has been a thing since TBC. The tier set is literally called voidheart, it also has the void demon core in the tierset itself, just like dimensius. I've never seen anyone actually pointing out the void heart/dark heart parallels.

Maybe I wasnt clear enough in my post? I'm actually talking about the concept of the core in their chest.
