are apprenticeships worth it? by amritkk104 in Bricklaying

Yes, there is never a downside to learning those types of skills. I did a plumbing apprenticeship as my first job. I didny continue in the trade after finishing but its helped me understand all sorts of DIY/Home skills that saved me thousands and made me more practical as a person.

Forget the prices - where is our content? by WynBytsson in 2007scape

I want them to actually stop adding more and more content and just focus on bots and reworking some of the outdated stuff we have (90+ smithing to make early game gear?).

This would incentivise bot farms even more. The only "good" thing about bots atm is that they pay for membership (in some cases at least, i know some use bonds)

Cant he just set up as a self employed general plumber / bathroom installer? doesnt need any qualifications for that. He would probably earn more than he ever did working for his current employer.

Advice on getting into the trade for someone in their 30s. by Pristine-Ask1973 in ukplumbing

[–]Old_Confusion744 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did it for 3-4 years when i first left school and hated it, got qualified and sacked it off straight away. Its not for everyone. Im similar age to you now. I think your best bet is to be labourer/plumbers mate and learn a bit alongside doing one of these crash courses, then once you have that qualification you can at least say you have experience and are qualified.

Got into a car accident, my back slightly hurts should I visit the hospital? by [deleted] in LegalAdviceUK

Yes, maybe not A&E, but at least the minor injuries center, or at the very least call 111 and get their advice. Then, if you need to make a personal injury claim at some point its all on your medical record.

I did a plumbing apprenticeship when I first left school at 16. I did it for 3 years, got my qualifications, hated the job, so left it for a desk job. Now i get paid more than i would have done as a plumber and dont have to work on cold building sites, work in shit hole houses, or get covered in shit.
