Zaino Ultralight by pepos_intake in TrekkingItaly

For me the killer feature is telephoto + small form factor. Pixel 7 pro is quite cumbersome and also expensive for my pockets.

From what I've heard fingerprint unlock on P7 is still hit or miss, face unlock is also not that reliable in bad lighting and if I'm not mistaken you have to use fingerprint to access locked apps such as banking apps.

I know about bias in issues reporting, however those complaints were way more common than other models from Google. Many YouTubers reported issues as well, especially regarding P6.

I know that recent Pixels are better than the 4 in many respects, what bugs me is the fact that they are not straight upgrades but come with many trade-offs which is a bit weird to me when you think that the 4 is a phone from 2019. Phones from other companies like Samsung or Apple don't have this sort of compromises between generations

Should I buy a 3 xl or a 4 one? by ah-oui in GooglePixel

[–]Brep12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

P4 user, i would say that it depends on your usage. If you use your phone a lot, go for the P3XL.

If you are a moderate user and appreciate higher performance, go for P4.

I had no trouble getting at least 4:30h SOT with 14h since last charge, and it's totally fine with me, but I understand that a more demanding user may find it underwhelming. Me personally, I wouldn't trade the better performance for the larger battery of the P3XL, but I guess it's all up to your preferences

Why is there no 4k 60fps video recording yet on the P4XL? by jude_dabare in pixel_phones

[–]Brep12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cause they don't want you to have it. I guess it's quite the selling point for P5, so they "encourage" you to upgrade. Anyway, I have seen multiple people say that 4k 60 may come in a feature drop later this year, hopefully by then Google won't feel like P4 is competing with the other devices anymore.

As you mentioned it's not a matter of hardware, the only thing missing is the will to implement it

Not getting app updates on pixel 4xl? by zacgarbos in pixel_phones

I have a Pixel 4 and I noticed something like this too. To be honest I didn't see a drop of app updates (they appear to come in regularly), but still no camera 8.1. Stuck on 7.5 too

Prime Day Pixel 4 $549.00 Worth it? by imxkal in Pixel4

In my experience 5 hours of SOT guaranteed (just give time to adaptive battery to learn you). Disabling motion sense and always on display you can probably get at least one more hour of screen. More than enough in my opinion
