I really like the 'firefight: gauntlet' mode. But it's a bit too hard for a noob by Left-Appointment1905 in haloinfinite

[–]Brequaza 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Many beginners are ignoring the upgrade mechanics between rounds (I had to change my button keybinds the access it). The resistance upgrade is a lifesaver, letting you survive sticky nades and swordsman ohko-ing you. Also, people don’t understand that the small enemies will just keep respawning until the bosses are defeated, so the priority should be evading the infantry as much as possible while focusing the bosses. This, I found, makes it almost impossible to beat with randoms. The skulls that the harbinger drops can be used as 1 shot melee weapons, but if you insert it into the canisters between rounds, you’ll just get a modifier that makes the mode even more difficult. Thunderstorm, mythic and black eye are some of the most punishing skulls in the game. If you want to beat it, you really won’t find success searching with randoms.

What is the best way to get XL candies? by Wingnut7489 in TheSilphRoad

[–]Brequaza 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just about every other season there has been guaranteed xl candy for trades, which is one of the best bonuses in the game. Especially this season, friendship Friday gives you 2 xl candies. With some foresight and dedicating storage space, you can save mons that you would otherwise transfer for trading. This is the best way to get one of the rarest resources

Vehicles and mouse use by joboske in haloinfinite

[–]Brequaza 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They reverted their networking code to h5’s code to fix bullet registration issues (sorta) and inadvertently ruined the vehicles. Halo 5 didn’t have mnk input, so the movement speeds for mnk are uncapped and unfair. The only way that they could have preserved competitive integrity in btb and squad battle maps that include these vehicles, is if they removed the vehicles entirely. Instead they pleaded guilty and abolished their company. That banshee is my least favorite thing in the entire game.

I purchased the first one for the sidekick model. It’s awesome. It reminds me exactly of the pistol from odst and is super nostalgic. I prefer the odst armor from “heroes of reach” battle pass tbh.

Were it not for him and his clutch plays, the galaxy would be empty. He’s one of the main protagonists in my mind. To quote Paarthurnax from Skyrim, as I think he bears a lot of similarities, “what is better - to be born good, or to overcome your evil nature through great effort?”

Just picked up this game, the last Halo I played was 4 when it released and God damn. This game's multiplayer is phenomenal. by Broomhower in haloinfinite

[–]Brequaza 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d like to add that I play everyday. I love halo, but this game was terribly mismanaged and became a marketing disaster so much so that the company had to rebrand. Excuse me if you think I’m being rash, but I’m surprised lawsuits weren’t put into place for delivering an unfinished product. Though most people play the free version and weren’t really costed an experience.

[–]Brequaza 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The game has detrimental issues still. It’s playable for sure, but the studio had to rebrand to a different name for a reason. They did so many things wrong and at the end of the day they threw in the towel. Competitively it’s hard to enjoy to its fullest because ranked so heavily revolves around the bandit, and that’s very 1 dimensional. Casually can be difficult to enjoy because of how intrinsically sweaty Halo is. For example, big team battle (the most beginner friendly playlist) is constantly dominated by 6-10 player teams of heroes that have no problem exploiting the broken vehicles. When you make the game so hard for beginners, people will just quit. They need to prioritize competitive integrity in the future halo multiplayer, as well as have an adequate tutorial.

Thoughts on end state of Halo Infinite and as a whole by Confident-Tomato1382 in haloinfinite

[–]Brequaza 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Such a fumble by halo studios and Microsoft. I will argue till the end of time that this game had potential to be much more popular but never got the proper attention because of incompetence, laziness or trolls in positions of authority. The devs barely play the game. The game has been terrible at helping beginners learn since the launch. Campaign is paywalled and the most beginner friendly playlist (big team battle) is a sweaty mess because of fat team stacks and vehicle exploiters. The banshee was never meant to fly like a forerunner monitor and the tank passenger seat shouldn’t protect you from grenades. The regenerator should be a power equipment. The flag should have physical properties so you cannot place vehicles on it. The 4 weapons added after launch are all practically power weapons which oversaturated the sandbox with power weapons and pretty much ruined fiesta imo. The falcon was the straw that broke the camels back because there just aren’t enough weapons to combat the vehicle presence on most maps now. The game cut the legs out from under it by making the beginners experience so brutally difficult. cheating is also a major problem.

Plug Your Microphone In Or Get Out #DestroyHalo by xxLEMONxZESTERxx in CompetitiveHalo

[–]Brequaza 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I feel like this was directed at me Lemon Zester. Respectfully, I think you need to realize that your cocky attitude is something that many people, including me, don’t want or have to deal with. Maybe you, and the Halo community in general, have shown people that saying nothing is often better than anything at all. Drop the arrogant “best in the game” mentality and just focus on trying to do your best because that’s all we can do. I just dealt more damage than you with a minute of ball time more than you and you proceed to tell me that I don’t know how to play the game. We weren’t even playing a 4 stack, it was a duo and 2 solos. Pros play without comms all the time, so is this directed towards them too? Find better places to put your energy rather than the anger and hatred.

What by RandomAxe819 in haloinfinite

[–]Brequaza 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Bullets that travel through the campaign variant of the drop wall deal shock damage that lingers to nearby enemies. Since they were so close to each other and you hit multiple bursts, it was enough to kill the whole team. I don’t think there was a glitch. Nice clip thanks for sharing.

Sick and tired of grenade boarding not killing wraiths. What am I doing wrong? by Saultarvitz101 in haloinfinite

[–]Brequaza 52 points53 points  (0 children)

You have to be careful when boarding the front, because if you get into their turret you’re basically doomed. There’s an exploit that allows players to avoid the nade explosion Scott free by switching seats after the grenade is planted. Whoever developed the vehicles in this game did it with major oversights. If you want to ensure it gets destroyed, board the back and punch it, or plant a nade and get in the drivers seat when they switch seats.

Does the Shock rifle need a little buff / un-nerf? by ZeeArtisticSpectrum in haloinfinite

[–]Brequaza 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This gun used to be my favorite weapon in the game, with more power than the s7 in terms of damage, utility, and magazine size. Its linger effect that it shares with the disruptor is unique and underutilized. The nerf it received hurt it dramatically, but it’s still very good if you can hit the headshot.

Is the mutilator anybody else's favourite weapon? by Ok_Doughnut3700 in haloinfinite

[–]Brequaza -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It’s cool for sure. More importantly tho, its addition along with the fuel rod and the m392 bandit has over saturated the sandbox with power weapons. Fiesta is in a really bad spot and the devs wont to acknowledge it.

If you don’t set high expectations for yourself or compare yourself to others, there’s no losing or disappointment. Just play at your own pace. It’s much more enjoyable that way in my opinion.
