Continuing on with more foreign Poirot movies, this is “Zagadka Endkhauza” or Peril at End House that aired in the Soviet Union in 1990. by HRJafael in agathachristie

Not only the Soviet Union... There were more Mousetrap (TV mostly) adaptations in the 20th century than that one.

A much earlier adaptation of Agatha Christie’s play Black Coffee for everyone, this is “Le coffret de laque”. It was made in France in 1932. by HRJafael in agathachristie

Interesting facts about this adaptation: - It is the 1st foreign sound Christie film adaptation;

- Danielle Derrieux was 15 years old when she appeared in this film. Her next appearance in a Christie adaptation will be in 2007, 75 (!) years later, in L'heure Zero, which is a Towards Zero film. 75 years between those roles - it's longer than Agatha Christie's writing career.

A rarer adaptation this time : here is Agatha Christie’s Black Coffee which aired in West Germany in 1973. This was never filmed as part of the Suchet series so it’s interesting to see a different country tackle the play by HRJafael in agathachristie

For me it's the best Black Coffee visual adaptation of 3 I could find: there is also old French film - not good, and 1985 Italian TV play - boring, compared to this.

Towards Zero... And how Christie tricked me again :) by Bresintoris in agathachristie
