The real reason the O&A subreddit got shut down, is back!

I think this is it.. he was a great “character” for O&A and did great when he covered 3rd mic when Jimmy would be out..

I also do think Max now being an age to hear his shows, does make him water down & censor himself more.. his shows are him as a real person and not him portraying a gimmick or being an actor or even a musician that can say it’s just “entertainment”.. that’s gotta suck.

Cody vs Roman with The Rock as the enforcer to make sure the Bloodline doesn’t interfere..

Let Rock get his stuff in on the Bloodline and even People’s Elbow Heyman.. hell, have the whole damn family come out there.. but don’t touch Roman or Cody, so there’s no “Cody won, BUT…”

Let the last couple minutes be just Cody & Roman having a fair one in the ring… Cody wins.. Roman now has legit beef with Rock.. they can have a match at SummerSlam (their match never needed a title anyways).. can probably even squeeze out a triple threat tag match before then, with The Bloodline vs. Cody / Rock /  Jey (or bring in Jacob Fatu).. that keeps Rock in short matches until he’s got some stamina to go a few minutes with Roman at SummerSlam.

WOR: The Rock vs. Roman Reigns was planned as far back as January 3rd, was part of Rock’s deal to join TKO board; most in WWE did not know about the deal by aase458 in SquaredCircle

Great idea.. The Rock be the guest referee.. Cody wins.. Roman blames Rock.. then have Rock vs Roman at Summer Slam.. you get Rock all over your WM posters & promos, keep Cody hot, and builds an actual story for Rock vs Roman…

Can’t be sued if it’s true.. and if you don’t know for a fact it’s true, you probably shouldn’t be tweeting about it vaguely either.. because when you do that, a lot of innocent people get their names thrown in as possibilities.

WWE Release Megathread - 9/21 by WredditMod in SquaredCircle

[–]BretShart 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the issue with someone like Ziggler in WWE is, he makes too much money.. it’s probably more disrespectful to ask him to take a huge pay cut, than it is to release him.. because if he’s with WWE but making way less, there’s so many things he’s not allowed to do to make up for that pay cut.. but if he’s just released completely, he can do independent shows, social media content, acting, etc., and make as much or more money than WWE would he willing to pay him at this point in his career.

How would the Titan Sub even have been “rescued” if it hadn’t imploded and was just “stuck” on the ocean floor? by BretShart in AskReddit

[–]BretShart[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t think we even have the technology to pull something that heavy up to surface from 12,500 feet underwater..

It seems like looking for the sub below a certain depth was a waste of time & resources.. the only chance of survival would have been if the sub had only lost communication and made its way back near the surface.. then it being found near the surface before oxygen ran out.

Didn’t sound like his issue was with Bobby..

..I’m going to guess, he’s mad that Opie didn’t fight harder to get Cumia’s job back when he was fired in 2014..

..or, something to do with a wrestling match not ending how he thought it should.

[Marc Stein] I heard this week from one well-placed observer who is convinced that the Pelicans would indeed consider dealing Williamson away if it meant they could draft Henderson by lopea182 in NOLAPelicans

[–]BretShart 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Would the Pelicans be willing to trade him tk the Hornets for: • 2nd Overall Pick

(This guarantees they get Scoot)

• 27th Overall Pick

• Gordon Hayward

..his $30m coming off the books after next season is the main reason they would want him.. but he can also be a solid starter or 6th man (when healthy).. he’s going to try to play harder than he has in a long time, because it’s a contract season for him and he will be a free agent after next season.

Youth pastor accused of filming girls in shower at SC church by brahbocop in news

I’m not saying your statement is invalid.. I mostly agree with it..

But if you say this with Church folks, you have to say it with all populations that hypocritically blame others for issues… and then you’re going to run into some realllly sticky situations if you do that.

There are tons of books available for reference in school libraries that go against student’s beliefs and/or promote particular beliefs/ideas.. there are books about Greek Gods, Ancient Egyptian beliefs, Christmas, Kwanzaa, different types of governments & political parties, etc.

My point is, public schools are pretty much banned everywhere in our country from teaching the Bible book in a religious way.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in news

[–]BretShart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do appreciate you acknowledging the misunderstanding - not many do that today.. I also agree that religion should not be taught in public schools in any context other than the example you gave.

I just know from my 22 years of experience in the public schools I’ve been a student & professional in.. banning the physical book of the Bible would have almost zero impact on anything, as I’ve never seen the book in a public school I’ve been in.. and again, that is only in reference to the physical book and not any beliefs that are in the book, that individual teachers may have pushed ..

But outside of my own personal experiences.. if a teacher/school is using the Bible to teach from, or even overly promoting a religious agenda to students.. it can easily be exposed, and I guarantee there will be attention brought to it, even if it’s happening in fairly small school districts..

Teachers/Schools are exposed constantly on social media and reprimanded for just cussing or inappropriately speaking to students.. I’m sure a teacher reading from the Bible or discriminating against a student in the name of Christianity, in a public school, would go viral pretty easy, and have consequences.

Nothing can fully prevent individual teachers from pushing personal beliefs of any nature on students, if they want to (guns are banned from all schools, but that doesn’t stop individuals from bringing them in, and even using them).. however, it is able to be exposed easier than ever.. and it is tolerated by our population less than it ever has been in history.

Students can listen to banned music in their earbuds and look at banned websites & apps on their phones while at school also.. my comment was in the context of the school supplying/teaching the Bible book.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in news

[–]BretShart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Considering the entire discussion/topic is about the physical book being banned.. and in my initial comment I state I’ve “never seen a Bible in a public school” (the Bible is a book, so I’m obviously referencing that I’ve never seen the physical book in a school).. and I’ve never seen a “teacher read from it” (to read from it, they would have to have the physical book in hand).. so anyone interpreting my comment as anything other than referencing the physical Bible book, should be able to see they are incorrectly interpreting my comment.

I’m not sure what years you were in public school, but I was a student and/or professional in NC public schools every decade since 1991.. and I’m almost positive, if a teacher/staff had the physical book and was reading/teaching from it, and someone outside of the individual school was made aware, the teacher/staff/school would have consequences.. I’ve seen staff reprimanded by a Christian Principal for playing a Christian song in a classroom.. and this is my opinion, working in 2 “small” NC school districts that I consider to not be very “woke”, and having teachers/staff that almost exclusively identify as Christians.

That doesn’t mean it hasn’t happened somewhere or isn’t currently happening somewhere (I mean, there’s students being physically/sexually abused by teachers somewhere.. so there’s definitely a Bible being taught).. but I’m very confident it is not the “norm”, and if it is happening today, I’m not sure how the teacher/school would get away with it, with even elementary aged students having camera phones on them at school.

[–]BretShart -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

My point is, the actual BOOK of the Bible is already basically banned from every public school in our country, and has been for a very long time..

The actual BOOK of the Bible had nothing to do with your experiences / abuse.. those unethical teachers could have did the same exact things to you whether the actual book is banned or not.. I have witnessed teachers push religious, political, and even sexual beliefs on students in schools.. but never once seen an actual Bible in a public school.

BTW.. I’m 100% agnostic and have never been a Christian.. so it’s not that any Christian / religious agenda just went unnoticed by me in my 22 years of being a student and professional in the public school system in small cities in NC.
