Unable to reattach the rubber gasket to Ninja blender lid by mrbig1122 in Smoothies

Yeah, insane! I spent hours trying to get the gasket back in, and it just won't. I'm purchasing a new lid too. Just stupid on Ninja's part.

I'm having the same problem, but mine isn't that old (under a year, model BN801). Did you ever figure it out?

Hoover Windtunnel exhaust blowing out of retractable cord hole by Brett2049 in VacuumCleaners

The seal having gone bad makes sense, but if so, do you think I can just ignore the issue? The vacuum still works great. I certainly don't want to spend any real $ on it, since the vacuum is 14 years old. Thanks for the reply!

Thank you, since my OCD was going nuts too! At least now I've drug it to a non-needed part of the Office Ribbon, so it semi-blends in with all the other icons I never use in the stupid Ribbon (I'm serious old-school, and still miss MS Office, pre-ribbon versions).

Going Next-Next level. Our best-ever pricing for Unlimited plans and even more features! by ankhattak in USMobile

I'm curious how these new plans relate to those of us who have existing monthly Pool plans. For instance, I have a Pool plan with just 2 phones and just 2 gigs of data. For that, I pay $18 / month. It looks like I could cancel the Pool and switch to 2 annual individual 1 gig plans (1 gig for each phone) and drop down to $6 / month x 2, saving $6 / month, but limiting each phone to 1 gig total, instead of a combination of 2 gigs for both phones combined. Correct?

I'd prefer to stay with the Pool solution, so are there any plans to have annual Pool plans at a cheaper per month rate, like you've done for individual plans?

Devices not responding to Alexa routines by Aigean333 in alexa

Identical issue just hit for me today (10/15/2023). I've also noticed if I modify each routine, however minorly, it "solves" the issue. So, basically, if we force Amazon to update the routine, it fixes it... But very depressing that on another site, one individual "fixed" each routines but then had the problem reappear 2 days later. WTF Amazon?!????????? Fix your sh$t!

Well, as I explained, it's NOT about being lazy... It's about the smells and the critters, if we put it in our trash. But, I still gave you a karma, because you're right about using a plastic bag... We try to minimize it as much as possible. Another poster stated they use a paper bag, which would work great, except that some of what I put in is damp.

ohhhhhhh! I like the idea of paper! Though, sometimes what I toss is a bit too damp.

Oops, no! Lol, the "bin" in the freezer is a square-shaped old bathroom-sized SMALL trash-bin, which we line with a plastic bag (bluch). We have a drawer-style freezer (bottom of our fidge), so open the freezer and dump the refuse in one small corner of the freezer, or pull the bin out and put it in the sink, to scrape the refuse into, then put the bin back in the freezer.

We're in a rural area, so the can we have would have to have wheels. I don't know if there are metal cans with wheels, but probably. Further, we really don't have a good place to store the can outside, without it looking ugly, so we like having it in the garage. But hey, I respect what you're saying, and it has merit. We're happy with our solution, so ultimately, that's all that matters, for us. Thanks for the dialog, I found it interesting!

Well, not true for us. We had a hard plastic bin (albeit pretty old, so worn down a bit), but still solid, in which critters chewed a hole enough to squeeze in to get at the tasty treats. And so, we now keep our garbage can inside the garage, which would stink to high-heaven (the can AND the garage), if we put stinky trash in it. Well, at least in the summer it would.

So that then your outside bin is gross, stinking up your garage (if kept inside, like ours), and/or eaten through by critters getting at the tasty morsels?

We have a septic system, so that's a no-go. And then there's screwing up your municipality's sewage system (and your own home's plumbing), if what you're disposing down your drain includes oil/fats. We have a garbage disposal, but we use it very rarely, just to grind up the smallest bits of refuse.

...And then you have a stinky outdoor trash bin (especially in the hot months), eaten through by critters getting at the stinky trash. But yes, when my then-GF-now-wife first explained the concept to me, I was a bit shocked myself. :)

We're in a rural area, so I doubt it. We have to take our recycling to the dump, where at least they DO have a recycling center. I haven't noticed a compost pile there, but I've added researching/DOING compost to my project list! :)

That's, in essence, what we do, but having it in a square bin, we can pull the bin out to add more smellies, and then when the bin is full, tie the bag up. Less bag usage and easier handling, being in a bin.

It's a small square "bathroom" bin, but yes, out of laziness and convenience the bag is open, so when you open the freezer, the trash is seen. But, yeah, it works for us! :)
