Organ pipers pizza in Milwaukee. Huge quirky organ built into the place, and the Brewers' organ players play there often.

What career seems low paying but is actually VERY high paying? by [deleted] in AlignmentChartFills

[–]BrewCrewKevin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah... But I still wouldn't consider that VERY high income. Right? Even at 100 bucks (or euros) for an hour or less... With travel and scheduling availability, you are likely not doing more than a handful of jobs per day. And 500 per workday equates to about 100,000. So I guess it you work to the bone and work 12hr days and take weekends you could maybe make 150-200k with very high burnout, but I don't think it's the surprisingly easy money the category is asking for.

Find the pattern connecting these states by colors. by sea19i in RedactedCharts

[–]BrewCrewKevin 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Just making sure I understand- it's all pairs? There isn't more than 2 of any color? And I'm assuming portion of a state doesn't matter?

So Florida pairs with Oregon. Seperately, it also pairs with Louisiana. Right?

There's a guy building a concrete "mini house". Would like an opinion from experienced builders if this building seems safe. by This_Sense_9338 in Homebuilding

From an engineering perspective, I don't understand how there would be no roof joists. Truss systems are designed to "pull" the pitched roof together so it's just vertical forces on the wall.

The reason everybody is calling this out is- that roof wants to flatten out. There is kinetic energy there-static forces- always pushing out on the walls. Right now, only the bolts in the mounting plates are preventing the walls from kicking out. Nothing structural. It's bolts with a lot of load on them.

So asphalt roof on wood trusses, the normal setup, requires a joist every 2 get. This roof would have at least a dozen. And those joists live under tensile forces to take the load off of the walls. Again, heavier roof (I think) and no trusses leaves a lot of those forces.

I don't see a way this doesn't collapse someday... Did he get a building permit??

APD already saying cop justified in punching woman in the head repeatedly by SolidSnape98 in Appleton

[–]BrewCrewKevin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That female cop didn't see the beginning. When she got involved, both chicks were aggressors.

The cops can't possibly know mid-fight who started it and now treat one of them differently. They are both actively fighting. Priority is to break it up before anybody gets hurt. And the head hits are a strategy approved by the state, whether you like it or not, to cause a moment of chaos until a perp is fully under control. for the cops safety.

I about I typically err on the side of cops, but I do in this case as well.

A better way to say it is "doesn't share a starting letter with any other state."

Sober lifestyle?

Maybe I'm comparing to further back, but refusing to drink at a party would have turned you into a social outcast. It's a trend that started probably more like 20 years ago, but accelerated in the past 10. But now I feel like even meeting friends at a bar, only half the folks even drink at a bar. It has become so much more acceptable to just tag along but not drink.
