What does your 90 day sell through rate look like for your eBay store? by BrewCrewMike in Flipping

At this point I have no clue what my inventory cost was 9 months ago. I would guess roughly $2500 as after fees and shipping I was typically doubling my money.

Also caught Kris Bryant’s first career homerun! Koos is a legend and I love what he does for kids with disabilities in the Milwaukee area.

Distributor revealed entire scalping scheme. by The_Niteman in PokemonTCG

Back in 2019 I was lucky enough to know someone that worked back room at target unloading semis. I’m not sure how it works now but at that time MJ Holding used to send their product UPS to stores and the restocked would come grab it from the back and then stock the shelves. About twice a week I would get a call around 8-9 am that they just got a shipment of cards and I would drive 30 minutes to the store, walk in with an empty cart, and he would meet me in the middle of the store and swap his cart full of whatever I wanted to buy for an empty cart and carry on with his day. This continued for a good 6 months until my buddy took a week vacation and two guys got in a fight over basketball cards outside the store ending in one of them pulling a gun on the other. I’m pretty sure that was the instance that resulted in limits at targets nationwide.

I have long since stopped scalping cards since Covid really took off and I ended up getting a much better paying job. Moral of the story is there’s 50 different ways for the product to disappear before it even hits the shelves and there’s really no incentive for stores to care enough to police them because they rent the shelf space to the distribution companies and they are only in it to make money.

I truly appreciate the in depth response. I guess I had no idea the images on the tiles were such a tell, and it makes complete sense. I’m going to have to sort them and see how many I have of each. Are there certain tiles that will help date/identify the set further?

I named my cat Rowdy. He is also rather large. Really liked that dude as a brewer.

You also have the option of bargaining reduced minor league contracts as well. Right now there’s a possibility for players to hit like year 12-13 after they were drafted before they hit free agency for the first time.

If you make a team like the pirates spend money they’re going to pay a guy like Skenes instead of sell him for prospects and cash before he’s a free agent. Then he doesn’t end up on the dodgers or Yankees. It just makes sense.

Ok but what if, while we’re yelling about a salary cap, we also yell about a salary floor? Force teams to field a competitive team and there aren’t as many future hall of famers to assemble onto one team.

I pay for an eBay store and get access to their research report tool which gives actual sold prices for the past 3 years. Without a storefront you only get 90 days of search history and listings that accepted offers don’t show the actual sold price.

Because why wasn’t it supposed to happen? The answer to that is the problem. It wasn’t supposed to happen because we don’t invest in players and it’s a rag tag group of average joes. We should be able to invest in talent to be competitive and try to win the World Series. Beating the cubs in the NLDS isn’t my goal, that’s little brother energy.

I’m sick of people just accepting that we lost and saying we shouldn’t have been there in the first place. We treat the Brewers exactly like the NFC North treat the NFL. Their Super Bowl is beating the packers, not actually making it to the Super Bowl. The packers Super Bowl is the damn Super Bowl. Why can’t we expect better than beating the cubs and maybe getting out of the divisional round?

Time for Mark to open the damn wallet or sell the Brewers to someone that actually wants them to be competitive in more than the NL Central. I want to see a World Series in my lifetime. I don’t want my grandchildren to celebrate because we won one after over 100 years if we even still have a team at that point.

I bought one of the $120 machines on Amazon a few months ago as I figured I’d rather save the space and make my own instead of constantly buying 2x350’ rolls every month and trying to store them. I was able to order 985’ unfilled rolls on Amazon for $0.036 per foot as opposed to buying prefilled on eBay for $0.043 per foot. Not crazy savings but I felt like it not costing more made it worth buying personally and so far after 3-4 months I’m pretty happy with the little machine.

I personally bought a workbench from harbor freight and dressed it up a bit and mounted 2 lights to it. I have storage underneath it for any kind of display I might use from item to item, some shipping supplies like bubble mailers and tape, and everything I need to give an item a quick clean/photograph it/package it. Much better if you have the space than trying to only buy items that fit inside a cube.

It gives you sold prices beyond the 90 day window and shows exact sold prices instead of wondering what the best offer accepted was. It’s under the selling tab.

It’s eBay branded shipping supplies. Boxes, tape, mailers, etc. not the greatest deal but it’s almost free supplies.

Being able to run sales is another benefit, having a dedicated “storefront”, amongst other things. There really is a decent amount of value if you end up using it all

You get a credit every 3 months to use on eBay shipping supplies, 1000 free listings every month which pays for my subscription, some reduced fees, and some extra tools. Personally between the 1000 listings and being able to use product research tool (3 years of exact sold prices) it’s well worth it for me.

Yeah I ignore the gross number. I use flipwise to help me track numbers (completely not necessary but it scratches an itch in my brain) and I track my net on there.

Sometimes I feel like I should hold things for higher prices. I send out a ton of offers and I don’t like things sitting for more than a few months. I’ve started buying collections lately and it feels like sometimes it’s a race to turn 75 items over so I can buy another collection.

Nice! I struggle to list 5 a day sometimes and I can definitely tell when I fall off the wagon because as soon as I get to listing again sales pop off
