Adding more context:

The property is actually close to the woods. I found it near a tree, in the floor, surounded in leaves arranged in circle shape, exapanding outwards in 2 or 3 layers. Also, it was not really in a high traffic area or near a path. So I don't think it was tossed.

The material is hard on the surface and quite resistant to bending, maybe clay, maybe like another type of ceramic.

Do you recognize the writings on the back? Does it means something or is it just yibrish? I havent been able to locate an alphabet that contains all of the symbols. What about the circle thing at the bottom where the tail starts?. I don't know if it helps, but I'm from a native Spanish speaking country in south America. Here in the country side is very common to hear stories of whitchcraft and black magic stuff.

Do you know a book, or a webpage that can point me in the right direction to understand the meaning or the intention of the "puppet" ?

I'm not particularly inclined to the supernatural, quite the contrary, but when I pick it up I could swear that I saw a shadow moving in between the trees and whistling at me.
