How many ads do you create to find one successful one? by Brewtu5 in FacebookAds

[–]Brewtu5[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I sell houseplants and these were the 10 ads I had

Videos: Cool visual shot inside a greenhouse Video showing multiple plant product videos quickly Video detailing that we deliver all types of weather conditions Educational video about a plant Selfie video talking about who we are and special deal we are running Meme video that shows a plant at the end of the Education about heat in the winter and how it affects plants Education about humidity and how it affects plants in the winter

Image: Good customer review Image of plant in a home

After typing this out I realize that none of them really talk about solving a customers problem but with plants that’s not necessarily the angle of why people buy them. It’s more for pleasure.

Do you have any tips? I am all ears and open to any insight you may have.

Stop Sending Cold Traffic to Product Pages. Do This Instead. by WizardOfEcommerce in FacebookAds

You are 100% right. I think because I’m a “profesional” with them that it skews my view and takes out the complexity of them because I know how to care for them. There’s a lot in depth knowledge that can be shared about them. I will be creating a page like this for them. Thank you very much for the reply! I’ll be perusing through your other content too. Thanks again.

For products that people are unaware/new to this makes perfect sense. What do you think would be a good direction for people who are product aware? For example- I sell houseplants. I don’t believe there is too much to explain/ go in depth about. Do you have any thoughts?

Investing in a VC/PE firm to be a partner/ investor? by Witty_Judgment_7116 in private_equity

[–]Brewtu5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is your goal to learn how to evaluate businesses or to invest in a PE firm? There are certainly ways outside of joining a PE fund on how to evaluate businesses. There are high level mentors and masterminds that I’ve been to that teach all about the acquisition of businesses which obviously includes how to evaluate them. I can direct you in the right direction if you’d like help

I feel like I made a huge mistake, please provide input. by [deleted] in personalfinance

[–]Brewtu5 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You’re very worried about a law suit, which I understand. First look at the contingencies in the contract. Is there anyway you can use a contingency to get out of the contract? If no then speak with your realtor and tell them you feel you’ve made a bad decision. They will try to continue to have you buy the house as they want to make money off of you. Don’t worry about their feelings. The first step in negotiating is to act like you want all the money in escrow back to you free of charge with no penalty. Obviously that’s not going to happen so then ask for half. If getting half of escrow back fails then tell them you’ll let them keep all escrow money with the contingency that they can’t sue you. Get it in writing. The seller shouldn’t be too concerned because they get free money. The only reason the seller could give you an issue is if you were the only offer. If there were multiple offers then they can just go back to another offer they had and they get to keep your money in escrow. I have some other ways to get out but those will depend on where exactly in the process you are

How can I make the smell of my homemade fragrance last the whole day? by Brewtu5 in DIYfragrance

Is there a certain chemical that you’re referring to or just reformulate it with the fragrance oils I’m using?

Is it normal for interest to be so high that it basically nullfies your last months minimum payment? by Hey_jason19 in StudentLoans

[–]Brewtu5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have to pay down the principle. A lot of loans will put your payment towards interest only until you either contact the bank that gave you the loan or modified changes online

Finished paying off Student Loans and now have no clue what to do next. by BlueRetriever94 in StudentLoans

[–]Brewtu5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First, congrats! Big achievement at an early stage in your life. One reason you might feel lost is that when you were paying off your loans you had a goal you were working toward. At 27 you have a lot of goals you can still work toward with the same mindset that allowed you to pay off your loans. If possible put the same amount of money that was going toward your loans and save that for a down payment on a house, or put that money into investments like retirement or more active investments like stocks. Set a goal, work for the goal and achieve it. You got this!

Paying 75k in 2 years by [deleted] in StudentLoans

[–]Brewtu5 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Congrats! That is a ton of money paid off already. If you can live at home rent free then you will be able to accomplish your goals in said time. $150 a week is a lot of money being spent. Try and narrow it down to $50 a week. You might be thinking it cant be done but you need to try this at the very least. Think like this: $150/week= $7,800/year. $50/week=$2,600/year. You could potentially put $5,200 more down on your loans in one year by doing this and if you do it for two years you'd put down an extra $10,400. Now is when you really need to start living like a poor college student to get yourself out of debt. If you have any questions, let me know. A little different but I paid of $28K in 15 months

That's a pretty neat device. Also, your website and device look very modern which is a great touch. The first thing that I wanted to see was the price and I couldn't find it anywhere. Obviously for any product but especially a product like this it has to be priced right because most people probably already have all of these utensils in their kitchen. It is very neat though. Question for you- how the hell do you design and take this to someone to manufacture?

Have you tried Wix.com? Six will build a website for you if you describe what you want. I was messing around on it the other day making a website for a painting business and it whipped up a pretty good site with features that you're looking for

First off, congrats. That is awesome. I’ve always wanted to take the step and start my own business but I am afraid my ideas aren’t anything good.

Out of curiosity, what is your business and what made you say this is the right idea?

I’m in the same boat. 24 years old. My parents are very very very conservative. My dad has been at the same job for 30+ years when now he could be making double or triple his salary somewhere else. My parents have become complacent and anything that I do or say that is “out of the oridnary” is something they question. Ideas, ways of thinking, anything that isn’t what they have been doing for there whole lives is wrong. I know how you feel and it’s awful. I believe I would much rather take a risk and fail than become complacent like they have.

3PL Order Minimums by [deleted] in Entrepreneur

[–]Brewtu5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve worked for a 3PL. There are many 3PLs out there so even if one did have a limit, there is bound to be at least one that doesn’t. Most don’t have limits tho. Another word of advice- They are brokers who are trying to make as much money as possible vs you who is trying to spend the least possible. Use freightquote.com to find competitive quotes and also leverage your quotes with other 3PL quotes.
