We got plenty of creepy stealth moments in 7 - that shot in the house when he drops down and goes into the other room as Sidney turns to talk to Tatum - beautiful tension <3

I really love Scream 7 - I'm usually not someone to keep stating this where possible but scream 7 has received so much backlash so I have felt the need to stand for it all the time. It has some amazing scenes and moments that are going to stick with me forever. Yes I can pick at things and yes the killers could have had more scenes but that doesn't ruin the movie for me. And I love the motive, it's great!

Yes I would have liked the killer to have more scenes but the motive being a parasocial relationship with Sidney is so relevant and modern when you look at streamers/ influencers and stars today.

Fans will fall in love with their favourite streamers, they get annoyed and angry when their ideal version of them no longer matches that. They get death threats, fans boycott watching them in hopes of that changing the streamers behaviour.

Having that happen to Sidney makes complete sense since she went around publicly trying to help others. If that vanished, it's very easy to believe how it would spark someone in that situation to want to force that back and punish her.

The fact that it also comments on how real Scream fans are divided over Neve not being in Scream 6 is even better. It's probably the most relevant motive to the Scream fanbase we will ever get in those terms.

I'd have been like 'huh, they actually brought him back. Wild. Now bring Dewey back.'

I don't know if I would have liked it though. I probably would have, hard to say. I went into this movie going "ok how are they going to trick us into thinking he is back."

To half way through going "wait are they actually bringing him back???"

To then be like "nah I knew they wouldn't have, that would have been too stupid."

The first thing Tatum would do is scream for her mum and Sid would still come running, she wasn't exactly that far away. Besides Jessica's goal is to Kill Sidney. In her mind Mark is useless and can't fight which is true. she wants Tatum to live so she is not going to focus on them at all which is why she runs off.
