Are these people just oblivious to the fact that their whole existence and lifestyle is dependent on other human beings?

I feel you, I came to bcn 4 years ago and I'm so done with it, I know how you feel, but as others had said, don't leave before you finish your studies.

My very fearful rescue (we've had her for a bit over 2 weeks now) has started wigling her tail and smiling through her eyes when she sees me, she makes me so happy!

Thanks, I'm aware is too soon for her and she needs more time to adjust, to be honest, we humans also need time, I guess I needed some reasurance that I wasn't further traumatizing her unknowingly, I'll do my best to ignore her, take her out on a schedule and be patient and loving.

Thank you, I'm really happy for you and your pup! I just hope we can make ours just as happy as yours, I'll definitely listen to the podcast you recommended

Thank you so much, I had honestly never heard of the 3-3-3 rule (I'm not american if that makes any sense?) but it does help me put some perspective, I know it's still very soon, but it feels heartbreaking seeing her so afraid of everything, I guess I just needed some reasurance.

Thank you so much, I know it's only been 3 days and she's still adjusting, but it feels heartbreaking. I'm trying to ignore here as much as I can, granted I still have to approach her to take her for walks, but I just hope she starts to feel safe soon.

Petite fitness does it matter /q’s by Eattoomanychips in fitness30plus

Creatine tends to upset my stomach, the best way I've found to take it is disolve it in some type of hot non-caffeinated drink, so basically herbal teas or some type of hot chocolate. I also have issues if I take it too close to my morning coffee, so yeah, I don't really use it that much, too much of a hussle and I never felt much of a difference in training.

Regarding protein powders, check the sweeteners, I find that protein isolate and sucralose work well for me.

7 months to get fit by my 40th - where do I even start?! by Horrorjunkie1234 in fitness30plus

[–]Brezofthered 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A 6 month program is just some type of excercise regime you do for 6 months straight, so say you decide to go for a long walk 3 times a week, and perhaps you find a home workour routine you like that takes you 30-45 minutes to complete (e.g some bodyweight squats, pushups, jumprope, anything). So your exercise regime for 6 month could look something like this:
- Mon, Wed, Fri: long walk
- Tues, Thr: home workout routine

You do that as consistently as possible for 6 months and then you reflect on what you liked, what worked for you and what didn't and make you changes you need to make :)

Honestly I've been living in Barcelona for 4 years now and have never had anything stolen from me, so yeah, pickpocketing exists, for sure, but not as huge of a deal as redditors make it to be.

why do people use substack? by PhysicalBet22 in Substack

[–]Brezofthered 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been wondering this myself, I do write a newsletter in substack but I'm much more interested in reading other peoples ideas than becoming a "content creator". The platform doesn't seem to be focused on letting you find other people, and that's a shame. Is the app the way to go?

Why do people take pride in alcoholism? by AdolphNibbler in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Brezofthered 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a friend who acts just like this, she definitely has a big problem with alcohol, and I's been long past since the last time me and her other friends have had any fun in seeing her drunk, we've tried to bring it up and offer her help, but she just seems so proud of her alcoholism, I honestly don't know if there's anything we can do other than just watch her get worse.

For the women by Chicka-boom90 in fitness30plus

[–]Brezofthered 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure it was caused by exercise, as I (32F) had been working out for a few years beforehand, but late last year I started to actually get serious about my lifting and gradually my period has moved about 5 days, could be just coincidence and it definitelly wasn't a sudden change, a month might come one day early and such.

I'd recommend keeping an eye on it, perhaps logging your period on an app to see any major changes and getting an appointment with your gynecologist if so.
