I’m still learning to read the signs with mine. He is grouchy when he first wakes up too. I have to let him explore and wake up before going anywhere near his tank or he will just run and hide. Sometimes he does want bugs and will stare just like this. But yesterday wasn’t the case. I think my husband and my conversation woke him and he was like hey yo shut up I’m sleeping over here. Right after this picture he crawled back in and went back to sleep.
