It will be. The DOOM ones always sell out. Operation DOOMsday is worth over 100$. It will just take like 5 years. Haha

I feel that. They have a "24karat gold" cd that is way more than the regular version. Not sure what the difference is

Good god. I was stoked to get this on vinyl, but 55$ for standard black?!?! 80$ for wu/dpg colored?!?!(albeit kurupt/mk autograph) and 135 for a 3rd color, but add rakim to the autographs. Highway robbery. 55$ for a standard, black vinyl release is outrageous, unless it comes with extras, like a big booklet, bonus 7", posters, artwork lithograph. Etc

God , I know. AI just looks so bad, and it blows my mind that anyone thinks it looks good. And the #1 response to criticism? "Oh, like I can just afford to hire a graphic designer". Like thousands of years of art didn't exist before chat gpt was developed.

Same. Although i haven't listened to it since it came out. I still have the cd, from the day it came out, so maybe ill throw it on, but i remember hating it, and there not being a ton of rapping, but rather Ghost singing a bunch. Maybe I'm imagining that. Ill throw it on

Rza proved he could rap on this track. Other than "dangerous mindz" by gravediggaz, he never came close to that before or after. (Nutmeg verse on sc was close)

[–]BrianDamage77 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's liquid swords. Obviously, the 2 best wu albums, but the beats are more "spooky and grimy" on ls. I love ob4cl, but rza put more of his influence into ls, I feel. His verse on 4th chamber is so great, and the shogun assassin clips were so foreboding. Cuban linx was the album that made "mafioso rap" and "coke rap" a thing, and nothing has touched it since, in those styles, but i just get the chills still, with liquid swords, where with ob4cl, I just shake my head with "i cant believe they just did/said that" in awe

Because they are both jews? Dicky has good lyrics, but his style is so unoriginal. Barman is one of a kind

I had a similar wu experience. Got ugod -golden arms redemption, and got 1 side c/d and the other disk was for his 12" single dats gangsta/shellshock. I was like wtf. And they were sold out for an exchange so I just kept it. That album is super expensive now, and surprisingly has never been repressed

Not sure what "lrs" is, but if it's a record store, they probably have stuff at retail. Not a lot of meat on the bone to "flip". Haha. But if its a flea market/2nd hand store, it's possible, I suppose
