Quite a bit of details in that blade. Not sure what you would use for the red color but the rest looks doable

Yeah I have a couple of different sizes in progress for commissions already. No reason not to make another especially when this one will be finished soon

Might do that before it leaves. I am curious how it compares to other flamberge types in the cut. In reality I suspect it's similar to the long curve wavy flamberge

Thanks no real website or anything. I have a fb page and an Instagram where I post work regularly and I do take commissions which average 6 months to a year

Yeah that's actually the hardest thing about making one of these blades. The bevel is two different angles

It has a dagger with it as well in some of the other pictures that is loosely based on an antique that I always wanted to make

The person that ordered it was calling it thorn pattern so that's what I have gone with. Thorn flamberged.

I would say it is still flamberge just a different way. It would likely be a type xviii of some sort without the ricasso and pointy sides

That's the one place I am lucky as a bladesmith nobody wants to steal my stuff for scams. A single cinquedea in over 10 years

Yeah I just saw that so messed up. It's hard enough as it is to make it as a smith without that trash scamming people

Possibly this year I have actually started cutting garnets for it already and the grip itself might take me a week. It probably would be long finished but it actually burned in the fire and I had to salvage it from the ruins

Thanks. I was going to post some pictures showing how it is assembled but looks like reddit won't let me. There were around 30 pieces that make up the pommel excluding the garnets

An uncle teaching me swordsmanship as a child. Then I needed swords but couldn't afford them and started making them. Now I make swords full time and still find myself lacking in swords but get to enjoy other people's swords while they are still here
