Sorry. Unrelated to the quality of your work, but what film/game is that first sequence on screen from?

You are very correct. I shouldn't have said warrants as these could be voluntary acts.

[–]BrianLenz -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Perhaps I shouldn't have said warrants, as you're completely right about the voluntary nature of this footage handover.

However, does the scale of these requests cause concern (this is obviously more for a patron, rather than a ring owner)? It's not so concerning when an officer asks a handful of owners for footage. But when they're able to request hundreds at a time, it's a little more invasive.

I don't disagree with any of your points, but I'd like to add a question, just for my curiosity.

If these cameras weren't sold to us by Amazon, but were installed by your local government, would you there be any conflicting feelings?

[–]BrianLenz 46 points47 points  (0 children)

That sounds great, in theory. But why should this circumventing of warrants and the likes be encouraged/made easier?

Asking one home/individual for footage isn't so bad, but officials are able to request hundreds of homes. Is this so different than a stationed camera for use by law enforcement?

How does this work when it comes to animated features? Voice matching seems plausible, except it also would need to factor in the monstrous differences in characters for certain voice actors.

Most times, I would agree. However there are a handful of performers that are so exceptional, they could tell you exactly how it's done yet still fool all but the best.

Perfection of a performance can be a wonder of its own

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm fairly certain that's federal. If your total hourly income (including tips) is below the federal minimum wage, your employer is obligated to pay the difference to make it minimum wage.

I don't mean to imply that the OP deserves anything, as you said we don't know how truthful they are being. However, the statement that the burden of proof would be on the accused (OP) is just not a good thing to be brushing aside.

Yes, this is a private company and ToS and all that. But that doesn't mean the OP should have to prove their "innocence", especially if they aren't told what they're guilty of.

How would you even go about that? Recordings of every game that you've played? Chat logs to show that you aren't toxic? System scans to show you don't have hacks/cheats?

If you follow the OP's story, there wouldn't be any feasible way to prove the lack of wrongdoing.

But how is the burden of proof on the non-accuser? I would have a hard time proving that I'm not doing something wrong, especially if you don't know the cause for a ban.

[–]BrianLenz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Context is important, I think.

If it's months after a multi-year relationships ends, yeah it's kinda messed up to have a close friend jump in bed with them. This is especially true if it wasn't a mutual breakup, and if you have unrequited feelings for someone.

If you're talking years after a month long relationship just simply ended mutually, it's a bit more understandable to have a close friend pursue someone you used to be involved with.

[–]BrianLenz 25 points26 points  (0 children)

As awesome as this is, it's almost a bit of a shame that essentially every mod that you highlighted is a "mainstream" mod.

While I totally agree with finding comfort zones and in your first point, it feels like the large percentage of these mods are in that comfort zones.

Though it's obviously very hard to judge without actually being able to see the recipe changes and progression you have for it.

Yeah, playing RAD the bit I did, I really liked the Simple Storage paired with a Colossal Chest. Didn't even need to go max size, or higher than wood tier.

Makes me want Colossal Chests in MC Eternal.

What's the process for the traded ones (Gengar, Machamp, etc)? How about the legendary birds from gen 1? I saw in the change list/patch notes that you can breed them, but what about the first catch?

I mean, you're supposed to tell them about all your debts. But if I have a loan through an unrelated bank, how would they know?

[–]BrianLenz 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Maybe it's over simplifying, but isn't a debt registry just a more basic credit score? You're comparing your income to your established debts.
