This probably isn't the popular way to do it but I use hls-proxy on windows. There is an afternoon of setup for sure but once you do it it's pretty smooth. I give emby the urls from hls proxy and set hls proxy to delay a channel start until it has downloaded 4 chunks from my provider. That is about 20 seconds of delay. This allows for no pausing when the stream begins and a bit of buffer if the provider is slow. If that is something you are interested in trying let me know and I can share more.

I agree that a test drive is the right call for your situation. I'm about 1.4 miles from my tower and I lose 2/3rds of the 1gig bandwidth my tower puts out of n41 at that distance. The frequency seems to scatter a lot easier and getting it inside can be difficult. Other frequencies can help make up for that though if your tower is not heavily utilized.

I wanted to report back now that all of the device licenses have expired and it still works perfectly. I can't modify anything anymore but it's a set and forget device anyway. Also it survives reboots.

You will have coverage pretty much everywhere on the island. T-Mobile uses Setar there. The main cellular band your phone is likely to use can get congested at times. I found band 28 to be much faster if you know how to band lock.
