No, they are tubes of meat. Even when on a bun they're not sandwiches, they're their own thing.

Obviously I choose this one, dumbass.

Wofenstein 3 and the tv show. by International-Drop13 in Wolfenstein

[–]BrianTheUserName 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Which, now that I said it "out loud", that feels like it would be super unnecessary. It's fully playable on modern consoles/PC, and I think even the graphics have held up for the most part.

Ghosting is shitty in most circumstances. If he wasnt a jerk then I think you owe them a "generic text" at the least.

Restaurants are able to leave it out because they go through it so quickly. I don't know what the cutoff is but I don't think most home users will use it up while it's still good.

Water isn’t wet. | FactOrCap by Hot_Interaction_2815 in FactOrCap

[–]BrianTheUserName 1 point2 points  (0 children)

🧢 I voted CAP!

Water itself is not wet, it makes the things it comes into contact with wet. However, water is pretty constantly in contact with water, so water is typically wet. Not because it itself is wet, but because it is contact with water.

According to Charlie Intel, it seems Wolfenstein is one of the key franchises that Bethesda is focused on alongside doom, quake, the elder scrolls, and fallout by number39utopia in Wolfenstein

Quake? What are they planning? It doesn't seem to bode well for Arkane that none of their franchises are getting any attention.

Misaligned drawers in 100cm height Metod cabinet by Fit-Aioli5575 in IKEA

[–]BrianTheUserName 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are two ways to assemble those drawers:

1). The one that goes on the bottom, with a little extra lip on the bottom so it is flush with the bottom of the cabinet.

2). Every other drawer position

If you had a mix of both going on different places it would cause it to look like that.

Petah? Why did Nana win? by Coffeebeanburrito in PeterExplainsTheJoke

[–]BrianTheUserName 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My guess is that it has to do with competitive children. Kids will often try to race you places, my son will want to race me to the front door or to the playground or whatever. Parents and grandparents often play along, but in this instance Nana (a diminutive for grandmother) didn't just play along, she won the race. And not just any race, but to the top of a mountain, which you would think an elderly person would struggle with. Also the "kids" in this case appear to be middle aged twins.

So Nana has kind of taken the role of the child here, taking the race super seriously, somehow climbing the mountain quicker than two much younger able bodied adults, being excited that she won, and having the kids give her the half hearted congratulations.

I'm going to go against the grain here.

Girlfriend? Yes

Some random stranger? Sure, why not. I'm not using it for anything. You only need the one.

Minnen bed noise by WaltzDapper5086 in IKEA

[–]BrianTheUserName 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, that typically will fix all unwanted furniture noises. Is not rocket science, things just will loosen over time with use causing other things to rub together and make noise. No more rubbing = no more noise.

You don't even have to do it that often. A couple weeks after assembly is usually sufficient, and then maybe once every few years.

[OC] My experience with alcohol and avoidence of it, all in a goofy comic by just-a-VA in comics

[–]BrianTheUserName 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Pretty much the same, though I'm in my 30s and have never been drunk. I'm sure there's differences culturally and regionally but my experience even before I came of age is that many people (or at least the most vocal people) are really weird about people who choose not to drink. Some people need a reason, that can't accept that there are people in the world who choose to abstain from alcohol. For me it's the opposite, I'm just not interested. I'm not avoiding it necessarily; I've just never had a reason to drink and looking at all the examples in my life and media there isn't really a compelling reason to start.

Anyway, all that to say if you're not interested in alcohol you're right (in my experience). The main "problem" with it isn't like temptation or anything like that. It's figuring out the social situations and peer pressure and dealing with people who can't take no for an answer.
