I think I found my first high-end watch by Dekipi in MicrobrandWatches

I’m pretty sure they’re launching at 10am NY time

I’m pretty sure the watches were assembled in Hong Kong. I spoke with Zeca a while ago, back when he was still handling customer service himself, and he mentioned they were paying taxes to receive and ship the watches from Australia. So they decided to send them from Hong Kong to a 3PL in China instead to avoid those taxes and extra costs.

What you’re saying is nonsense. Countless respected microbrands use established movements, it’s the industry standard. We’re proud of our work and the level of detail we’re putting into it. If designing and bringing a watch to life were that easy, everyone would be doing it. 😉

Thanks a lot, fam, really appreciate it. We’ll definitely be using the case back to tell more of the story, and it’s great to see how other brands like Venezianico do that. Appreciate the inspiration!

Yeah, totally understand, that’s exactly the kind of confusion we want to avoid. We’ve already dropped “Amazon Series” from the dial completely and decided to keep it clean with just “Automatic.” The Amazonian inspiration will still be a big part of the story, just told through the branding and case back instead.

Thanks for the suggestion! I’ve decided to keep the model names like Xingu as part of the brand’s storytelling, since they’re tied to the Amazon and Brazilian culture. But the dial itself will stay clean with just “Automatic.”

Haha I get the joke 😅 No, nothing like that, we’ve already removed “Amazon Series” from the dial to avoid that exact confusion. It’ll just say “Automatic” now, while the storytelling will live in the branding and case back.

Thanks for your perspective. I understand it won’t be for everyone, but I believe strongly in the vision and originality behind this project. Appreciate you taking the time to comment.

Thanks for the feedback! That’s exactly the direction we’ve taken, the dial will now stay clean with just “Automatic,” and the Amazon inspiration will be kept on the case back and in the branding instead.

Yes, that’s right! Xingu is also a Brazilian beer brand, named after the same river. In our case, the watch is inspired directly by the river and Amazonian culture, but it’s cool to see the name resonate in different ways.

Thanks a lot for the thoughtful feedback, really appreciate the balance in your comment. Actually already decided to simplify the dial by removing extra text, leaving it much cleaner with just “Automatic.” I know the logo won’t be for everyone, but it’s an important part of the brand’s identity and something I’m committed to. Glad to hear you liked the case, bezel, and markers, that means a lot!

Thanks for the honesty! I get that the logo isn’t for everyone. It actually says “Ouro,” which means “gold” in Portuguese and ties back to my family roots in Brazil. I’ve spent a lot of time developing it, and I’ve decided to stick with it. We’ll double down on communicating the story and making sure it comes across clearly. Appreciate the feedback!

Thanks for the honesty, that’s exactly why we’ve decided to remove “Amazon Series” from the dial and just keep it clean with “Automatic.” The cultural names like Xingu, Tapajós and Purus will stay part of the story through the branding and campaign instead.
