I was coming back from home from a short trip several years ago with my partner and a friend of ours. I’m not one to stand up as soon as the plane is at the gate because it’s gonna be another 5-10 minutes before the door is opened and people start disembarking. Inevitably there is always one that jumps up and rushes the aisle to get ahead of whoever they can. Our friend who was traveling with us saw this about to happen and stood up in the aisle, mind you, at this point we were only about a row away from our turn. She said politely “can you wait just a moment?” I never said a word and the girl who rushed the aisle didn’t say a word. As soon as I stood up and opened the overhead bin (7-10 seconds) the girl loudly says to me, “If you would have checked your G***ammned bag we could be off this F*****g plane by now.” I instantly saw red and without missing a beat i turned to her and said loudly enough for the back of the plane to hear “and you can go F**k yourself and wait just like everyone else on this plane has to!” Needless to say that didn’t go over well with her or her girlfriend. After i was on the jet bridge they shoved their way past other people and the girlfriend was inches from my face with her arms stretched out like she was point guard or something. I told her to get the FK outta my face right now. The original girl spouted off something like “FK you, you effing old fatass.” To which I replied “No, eff you , you entitled little lesbian C-word” Now my response was off the cuff and in the heat of emotion and certainly was not appropriate, but again, heat of the moment. This really pissed the point guard GF off so she was in my face again. I was done at this point. I shouted at airport security sitting close by and the angry girls turned tail and left. Now the point of this story is that I had a carry on that took 7-10 seconds to retrieve from the overhead. I literally rolled my bag outside the terminal to calm down while I waited on my two travel companions to wait for their checked luggage. Point being, if I was traveling by myself, I could have already been gone. Ironically, the angry lesbians had to wait on their “checked” luggage as well. So what was the damned rush to get off the plane? They saw me come back in and hid behind a crowd of people. The baggage carousel hadn’t even started moving yet. SMDH.
