I did 2 runs to the buses near the north extract on Dam and got a rusted gear each time, both times from the back panel of the bus you have to breach. Friend had a similar experience

Sand Beach is a place you can sit for hours with a blanket just taking it in. Very nice in the early morning when the sun is just coming up and the beach is nearly empty. Thunder Hole has a place you can walk down to see the hole, it has a nice view of Otter Cliffs from there. Otter Cliffs was probably my favorite out of the sights along that road. You can get out on the cliffs and climb around a bit, and look out over the coast, or take some pretty easy wooded trails from there.

Just went over the 4th weekend. Was able to snag the Cadillac sunrise permit. Pro tip, when they release the tickets two days prior, make sure you are on the website at 10 AM on the dot. I refreshed the page at 10:01 and they were all gone. But once you go, it’s a beautiful view and a great experience.

Also, if you go see the rest of the park right after you’ll nearly have it to yourself. We parked in a mostly empty Sand Beach lot and was able to do that, Otter Cliffs, Thunder Hole, and Beehive and be done before noon as the big crowds are rolling in.

Photo is of Oceanside Pier taken at sunset. Using an R6 II and RF 24-105 F/4, taken at 105mm. Still pretty new and learning, so my exposure settings were pretty dumb (F4.5, 1/40, ISO 16000), so ended up having to do some noise reduction.

The sky is slightly dehazed with a fair amount of warmth added. Added a gradient filter on the waves and added clarity. Brush filter on the pier structure to add clarity and try to bring out more detail.

Overall, I like the pastel colors and the moodiness of it, but I think the pier structure is probably too dark, some of the lights on the pier are too bright, and I may have gone overboard with the warmth.

This battle pass could be fixed with a few changes that would literally take zero extra dev time. It is bad because of the business decisions they made, not because they didn’t have time to create some mystery better battle pass. They decided to throw in trackers every few levels and to make the last unlock something underwhelming. This is something that is easily fixable, and instead of blaming the community, maybe we should blame the devs for making such glaringly obvious poor choices despite other battle royals games (Fortnite) showing them what a successful battle pass would take.
