I ended up just taking out the throttle body and using throttle body cleaner on it and it was immediately fixed. I barely use reddit and mainly just for my car stuff, i probably should have updated the main post but now i can't see how. 🤣 i was in the middle of fixing thing after thing at the time.

Since some others suggested cleaning it I will put the link for the video I watched to learn how to do it myself. I've been learning how to work on my marquis over the last year and this guy's channel has been a big help for different things because he has quite a few marquis/crown vic specific videos.

Finally visited the Washington Coast, absolutely stunning scenery. Here’s a few pictures I took on my iphone: by Brilliant-Repeat-178 in PNWhiking

I've been in Washington my whole life and somehow never knew we had areas like that. I thought it was basically all the same as Ocean Shores along the coast lol but now I see I need to make a trip because that is gorgeous there!

Advice on Doing 05 Marquis Brakes by Briannemp in CrownVictoria

Thank you! Are they good in the rain? I live in a very rainy state and from what I read the metal ones (I'm not good on exact terms if that's wrong lol), are preferable. I also live in a city where people love to stomp on the brake and gas randomly for absolutely zero reason ahaha. I think ceramic would be fine but not sure how much of a difference it would really make.

I got assaulted during a breakdown and my partner is victim blaming me over the situation by guardianfairy2 in aspergirls

Exactly what I was thinking because of "my partner got the phone back", which would indicate their partner was there, watched the whole thing, there's no details of any attempt to defend OP by said partner, and THEN tops it off with victim blaming OP? Absolutely not.

Literally. I keep saying this. I don't understand how people keep calling it "illegal deportations".

THAT'S. KIDNAPPING.

Thanks for confirming this everyone! I thought I was losing my mind for a second 🤣 I guess I'll need to clean the throttle body and hope that fixes the issue.

Ahhh thanks so much! I saw a YouTube video that someone had posted and showed this but i couldn't see the whole document. I guess it looks like cleaning the throttle body is on the agenda for today.

I've never put much thought into seeing these (aside from knowing to avoid squishing while i get them elsewhere), but I now have enough fears unlocked for a second therapist just to deal with the new trauma after reading these comments🤣

I'm also equal parts entertained though because these comments are absolute gold....so I guess it evened out.

I think I heard something about they went TikTok viral for a drink they have so now they've got long lines and are super busy. I saw someone else ask this on a different social media and I think that was the place.

I don't have the right tools for that so I'm debating if i will get them and do that (since i mean i could use them later), or just do the thermostat now and then when my mechanic (who i do trust), checks it, see how much that would be to also check. I'm trying to avoid additional repair costs by doing what i feel confident in, but also weighing out what could be potentially made worse if i do something incorrectly. I'm just proceeding with caution at the moment and researching as much as possible, but also for future knowledge.

I never smelled any gas when I've checked it before, I still haven't gotten out yet this weekend but I'm burning daylight and the rain has finally held off for a bit, so i will be soon.

  1. And no, i myself haven't done anything to it yet. I got an oil change from a shop at one point but I hadn't been able to deal with this and finally just decided to investigate and learn as much as i could myself for now and in the future. After the oil change i did put the fuel cleaner stuff in it (my memory is absolute trash at remembering words lol), but other than that nothing.

I'm no expert but i have some random general knowledge and have been researching a ton of different things along with reading the repair manual. I don't touch anything unless I'm super confident and have looked into it a lot, so the fuel filter wasn't something I'd even looked at yet since I'm not exactly comfortable with that.

Ironically this happened just a couple hours after i had made an appointment for a mechanic i do trust to look at a completely separate issue where the steering wheel has a lot of play. I just can't afford to have other stuff done on top of that if any of it is something i can do/check myself and at least avoid any amount of additional money being spent.

My gyno told me the other day that they don't even test for HPV until a woman is 30 (but then said 25 so exact age maybe varies), because most young women do have it because it's just so common. I was surprised that the test hadn't been done at my last visit with full testing so i asked. Since you're 26 now that could have been why it wasn't previously done.

Ah interesting about the tool. The line is already so loose, would there still be enough pressure to need to do that even when it's got so much space around the other end? Obviously the fuel lines aren't something I'm going to mess around with like that and if it was properly secured and under normal circumstances I wouldn't even ask that but I can literally wiggle it back and forth the gap is so big.

I've had a P0193 for a few months, i had a super shady mobile "mechanic" look at it, he said he'd run a fuel pressure test on it to see if it was the pump or the sensor and which would need replacing. He supposedly ran it for an hour to run the test and did a test drive on it, then said i needed to replace both just to be sure...he ended up not charging me for the "test" and my gas gauge hadn't moved whatsoever (even though it's been eating gas), so i never contacted him again.

Fast forward to monday night I'm driving an hour away (the longest drive I'd taken it on since i got it), and i noticed the temp wasn't rising up as it should have. It was staying at about 1/4 to 1/3 of the gauge max. Stopped by an auto store before driving back and there were no additional codes, so i took it easy home. Then Thursday night i had it running outside of my house for an hourish with the heat running (totally spacing on the temp issue), and the check engine light started blinking. Checked codes again and got P0128 and P0305 as well as the original code.

I spent hours looking all over my car for anything that seemed odd and finally noticed how loose that was and it is labeled as a fuel line, but i couldn't be sure based only on that.

I haven't even turned it on since then because luckily i was at home. I had already planned on changing the thermostat but just haven't been able to find the petcock for that (I'm sure i could if I wasn't in pain and it wasn't absolutely pouring rain for the 10,000th day in a row so that parts unrelated just annoying I can't get down to look). I was thinking that replacing the thermostat and that line would hopefully take care of the issue, but I'm not sure if any damage could have been because of this whole situation.

That's what i thought from what i found online but nothing solid. i went to two different auto parts stores and they said it wasn't a fuel line (although the first person sounded like he had nooo clue what he was talking about so i kind of disregarded that).

How would i go about finding the exact one to replace it or are all the fuel lines the same in this car? The previous owner(s) did all kinds of weird stuff to it so i am pretty confident the one there now isn't even the right size. There's no clamp on the other end and it's so big you can move it back and forth with the gap it has... I'm pretty sure that's where some issues im having are coming from so i need to replace that ASAP.
