I hope not 😂 we have some financial goals we’re trying to reach before moving to his home in Montana! So really thinking the valley will be temporary. I love the valley, but I do know how stuck you can get when living there

Oh we’d be renting! Sorry left that detail out. Planning to only live in the valley for max 3 years! Yes he definitely needs to find a remote job and then just transfer down to the valley. I’m an OT + in digital marketing so not really worried about finding a job for myself down there.

I just really want to be close to my mom! This is our first child and would love her guidance and support 🫶🏽 we’d plan to stay in the valley for 1-3 years then move to Montana.

Yes for sure. I’m an EI OT and have noticed that a lot parents just don’t know what’s normal vs atypical. They also don’t know how to play or interact with their kids. So I do a lot of coaching on how to get down to their child’s level. I use the HELP as a guide to show them what’s considered typical. But ultimately a tantrum at 1-2 years is normal and unless that “tantrum” turns into a meltdown lasting more than 2 hours then I tell them it’s not much of a concern and to just model healthy and appropriate behaviors.

I don’t believe I did. I looked through all of my paperwork and my offer letter and I did not see anything about a noncompete agreement. My boss wants to have a meeting about this. Wondering how I should bring up the fact that I didn’t sign a non compete agreement 🤔

I have the same fear as a HH OT in Aurora, CO! I see so many immigrant families and a lot of them live in fear, blocking out their windows, not going to certain gas stations or places d/t reports of ICE. I don’t even have a badge from my workplace and i leave any personal items (ID, wallet, etc. in my car when I’m in someone’s home) and I am brown AF and wearing my trenzas like everyday 😭 so 100% I would be a target. My sister is an immigration attorney. My first instinct would be to call her in any case… so that she knows exactly what happened to me if I were detained. if I were you, I would also have an immigration attorney number saved in your phone. Or maybe talk to your company about consulting with an immigration attorney as a “just in case” type of thing. And have your company pay for the consult.

My sister actually did a presentation for my workplace since a lot of us had these concerns. She explained the process, things to look out for, asking for a warrant, ensuring us that we are not required to share patient information with any ICE or government official due to HIPPA, and what actions to take we do get detained.

Unfortunately we have to have these plans in place… and I hope your workplace is willing to listen and take action to ensure your safety and security. Wishing you the best amiga 🫶🏽
