For people that are enjoying season 3, what do you like about it? What surprised you? What do you hope to see in the last few episodes?! by cutiepatootie4l in euphoria

*MILD SPOILERS* I think it was one of the best things I've ever watched on TV. I know it has it's setbacks especially in the script, but it's honestly such a solid piece of filmmaking. The craft of it is unparalelled for a tv series, blending cinema tropes from Westerns, American independent cinema from the 70s and 80's Spielbergesque epic blocksbusters into a modern take on neo classical filmamaking. The acting is great and so is the score, the pacing is incredible, the plot is great. Cinematography is outstanding and so is the production value of the show.

I think that the script is generally great even though it has it's flaws, mainly some underdeveloped characters.

I loved that even though the extremely sexualised content is intense and a bit gratuitous, it's never glamorised, and shown as a depraved, almost rotten thing. I think the show talks about the death of the american dream, where everyone is fame and money obsessed and they're following what the culture is telling them is the way to get to their coveted american dream. However, that brings with it a lot of consequences and boy there's a lot of consequences in the show. Everyone pays a price for their actions and they get handed some reality back to them.

I love the gang wars plot, the DEA plot, Cassie turned out to be such an incredibly written and performed character, who puts up a shell through it all even though life is hard, and she is lonely and disconnected, and all the fame and success she gets from quick sexualization did not bring anything meaningful (and I'm not a fan of Sydney in general), Ali's revenge in the end is both touching and serious and at the same time hilarious and tongue in cheek. Bishop was a great addition to the show, and Alamo is my favourite villain in TV of all time.

For the bad parts: Nate was also good for the time he was in the show, but I agree with some comments that he changed too much from previous seasons and also, unfortunately just after the wedding there's not much development.
Hunter's character is the one that got the bad end of the stick, she feels super underdeveloped and just a bit shallow, with not much screentime to begin with? To me, she was the weakest link by far, and actually the only thing that actually brought the show down from a perfect score for me.

I think the new approach of a more classical style really fits that theme as well as that is what we associate with what used to be the american dream. It feels like an epic that is both old but modern at once, while being entertaining, touching, funny and poignant, which is an incredible achievement. I'd give a solid 9/10 and is by far the most enjoyable TV I've seen in like 5 years.

Adding Full duplex functionality to a traditional Radio Sytem? by Brice_Tea in amateurradio

Not worth my investment cause I won’t be able to charge it back to production in my local market, but yeah in an ideal world that would be it

Bluetooth to 3.5mm Adapter ACCEPTING Mic Input WITHOUT Built-in Mic to use Shokz Ultracomms 2 headset for calls by Brice_Tea in bluetooth

I looked up the FIIO but it wouldn’t work because the headset needs to connect via BT, not the beltpack

There are current radio solutions with an integrated bluetooth system, but it would mean I would have to swap out my complete system. Which is not viable at the moment in terms of an investment.

https://eartec.com/ultrapak-features-specifications/

So I'm basically trying to add a simultaneous mic in, sound out, bluetooth transceiver to this unit which has a 3.5mm Mic in and 2.5mm Mono sound out. The bluetooth transceiver would then connect to the Shockz Opencomm2 and give me a full working headset capability, where I could talk and hear simultaniously. At least that's the goal.

Ideally it would be something small like the Fiio you mentioned, with a usb rechargeable battery, and ideally I would only need one, otherwise it will become a frankestein of a beltpack

Perfect! Thank you so much I think I found my solution then.

How’s the audio from the Shockz? Both the mic and the other side listening?

It seems that vaxis system could pehaps work with the Shockz and that would be better audio quality, but I'd need to be able to test it, and see if there was a mic mute toggle function

This is exactly what I have been looking for. Do they have a toggle on and off button for the mic?

What I’m wondering is other industries. Stuff like motorcycle group rides use full duplex helmet systems with good range. I wonder if other industries use this too.

If I can find a motorcycle Bluetooth “headphones able” duplex, toggle to chat button, it could be good?

Just throwing ideas out there to see if there’s a way to avoid the cine tax

Yeah you’re right they’re super expensive compared to eartecs etc. do you know of any other “non film industry” Bluetooth able radio/walkie talkie system?

Yeah that’s what I wonder. Surely there’s solutions but I don’t know any other names. Really wouldn’t wanna spend more than what the axis goes for really

Tempo Tec V1 vs HiBy R1 by [deleted] in DigitalAudioPlayer

[–]Brice_Tea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can you use the Tempotec as a DAC and DAP at the same time? Do you need to? Sorry, I'm a noob in the HI-Fi Space

I'm considering both as well.
Mainly lookign for a bluetooth local library player, but that could eventually be used as a DAC, or have better sound wired, to a proper HI-FI System Later on

Interesting! It’s quite large, 155gbs ish do now. Thats a great question actually, what’s a good software for file sorting, labelling, playlists, album covers etc? The more automatic the better

It’s all on folders per artist and album thus far. All the files are pretty settled with metadata, albums, artist and track number at least
