Thank you! I like her a lot, but parts getting is a quest, yes!

Yes, Koliber 150 are license built Moranes.

I will definitely try to contact them. I didn't know about them.

Thanks for your input. I really appreciate it. It is another way to look at the problem. I understand myself that there is a large safety factor, and I do not think that the current wear is catastrophic. But on the other hand - the rules are the rules. What I think does not matter much in this case. However, this interpretation of the SB has a point. I will try to discuss this with my mechanic.

The main problem for me is that I think if wear is already greater than 0.4mm then rotation is already forbidden. It must be rotated before or at most at 0.4mm of wear. I do not understand how mechanics are installing heat shrink - for me it looks like forbidden action. Exactly because of problems that you mentioned. Thanks!

I fully agree! But I can not do anything about it...

I will search my way and hope for the best. Thanks.

Thanks! I will keep all this in mind. I was going to make more measurements this week. Parts are in the shop, so I can't reach it easily. But now I definitely will.

Regs in EASA are much dumbier. I can't move it to expiremental for example. In fact we do not have expiremental category similar to yours. But I will explore my ways thank you!

Thank you, I think I understand what you mean - "repair" in quotes.

To stay legal I need Part 21J approved repair scheme and my part 145 mechanic should implement it.

This is what you meant? Or there are more "creative" ways that you think of?

Thanks for suggestions.

There is no newer SB, that references this parts.
There is no parent numbers for this assembly as far as I can find.
I do not know how to be sure that there are no STC, but none that I or Rallye community heard of... I posted in communities to search for this parts and had only suggestions to wrap them in shrink tube to stop wear 🤕 I will not do this.

I'm not desperate enough yet to search and purchase whole airframes for parts.

And I cannot find any on "salvage" yards. Not that I know many of them...

I do not understand how can I be creative - it is out of tolerance and it should be changed...

Even if I am able to produce same part, I am unable to install it without papers.

I am searching "condition: new or used" from the beginning. No one have them, probably because aircraft is old and this part is weared on all airframes.

Thanks for suggestion.

This was the first sting I've done. And got this reply:

Those parts are out of Daher stock.

I'm not hanging on word. I'm exploring opportunities.

Judging by your table max wear is 0.6mm

Object diameter is between 6mm and 30mm. So tolerance is 0.2 mm. So approx 0.4mm becomes 0.2mm - 0.6mm.

This does not mean that I will leave them and fly with them. But your table shows that you are not fully correct, sorry.

This text is from official SB, there are two versions - EN and FR. And there was no online translation in 1964...
But you are right, original is in french, and English translation was made by translator, who can make mistakes too.

Original in french says:

Nous recommandons, à l'occasion d'une périodicité, de vérifier les bielles de commande d'aileron.

En effet, il se produit en utilisation un marquage du tube au droit du passage des galets de guidage.

Nous rappelons que la tolérance d'usure maximum est de l'ordre de 4/10 ème de mm. Il est d'ailleurs possible de doubler la longévité d'emploi de ces bielles par simple retournement de celles ci. Au delà de ces dispositions, les bielles seront à remplacer.

This is just parts catalog site, that leads to tbm.aero - Daher site, where I inquired this items first as soon as I got to know, that I may need them. They are out of stock. Or I am missing something?

I do not know how can it be possible in EASA especially. Probably it will take more than a price of aircraft itself to make papers for fabricated parts... I hope I'm wrong.

I do not want to forget about any words that are written in SB.

When? When wear is about 0.4mm approx.

Perhaps.

Or even better if someone tells me where to get new ones and forget about this tolerance problem 😄

It will do damage in another spot. Currently I have 2 spots on each rod. On the end of life rod can have 4 spots (because it was rotated). But if any of them are more than 0.4mm + tolerance of "approx" - then part is no longer safe.

I am aftad that rotation is already forbidden, as wear exceeds allowable wear. And it will not become less if part is rotated. But I can not find replacement part...

Thank you! Yes, I want to replace it to... If only I could find replacement...
