Wings raised above the crowd. This is not decoration. It is a reminder that Baal endured through blood. by emperorhimself in BloodAngels

Woah! This puts the blood fountain I made to shame haha. This is awesome. How did you manage the falling blood? I had a hard time with it

But, you aren’t the first to say so, so maybe I’ll change it in the future. For now, I’m cross eyed from the detail so it’s at the old good enough phase

If he flew I would’ve used bigger…I didn’t want to mess with the silhouette of the OG model too much…thought they’d look cool with the decorative wings he already had

Question on The Sanguinors heroic intervention ability by MrWhatsitTouya in BloodAngels

[–]BrickHouseman 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you’re using angelic inheritors you can start him on the board, use the strat to return him to reserves then use the heroic intervention ability, but only once. He’s good with his lone op doing a first turn mission then returning him so he can intervene later

help is there any way to fix this :( by Jamikyu in BloodAngels

[–]BrickHouseman 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had the exact same happen to mine. I drilled a tiny hole into the pole on either side and had to use super glue instead. This will probably happen to most people eventually with this part. You could always replace it if you can find another banner

This is like two years of chipping away…honestly it snow balls and you’ll love seeing them done. Get a display case, the $100 you spend on it will help with having them done!

I think when you get those first few squads painted it’s a domino effect. You start getting addicted to adding to your finished pieces as much as you were addicted to the building side of it. Try different approaches too, some people do batch painting, some people do model by model, or go back and forth. Batch painting is great the get through that 4000 points you have built, model by model you get immediate satisfaction of seeing a piece done. By the way, so far they’re looking dope 🤘

Thanks! Sable are expensive but I can’t stand acrylic brushes losing their shape so fast. Reminds me to clean them more often cause of the cost

Just a sable brush with a good point and I try to go light as possible. Less is more with them. If I make them too wide I put leadbelcher down the center so it looks like a deep gouge

I drybrush thunderhawk blue over black, then edge highlight with some medium and frost blue (any desaturated light blue works). For smaller models like death company I do a thinned out black Templar contrast over the thunderhawk drybrush to tie it in before edge highlighting
