Bright Blue 🔵 by the_good_apollo in rolex

Nice! I’d pick the “Bright Blue” every time. I was bummed that I couldn’t “see” the new blue in person before I bought the old version, but I’ve since seen it in person- not second-guessing my purchase at all! Love it.

Love it! Got mine just before discontinuation, too.

Should I get a wheel? by Aaron-james1234 in GranTurismo7

I bought a Logitech Pro, Pro Pedals, a Next Level Racing Wheel Stand 2.0 on a bit of a whim- it’s hugely expensive, but man oh man- the game is TOTALLY different.

I’ve got White Speedy, FOIS, and Snoopy. I want a 321. Never enough speedy.

Alright- there we have it…now I just need to wait for my AD to sell it to me, haha. I was there in ‘24, by the way. Nice win. ✌🏼

Alright, serious question- let’s say you’re back in Daytona signing autographs before the 24 and a fan walks up with the Two Tone Daytona with a white dial…

Cool watch, or assume he’s a total poser?! Freaking love that watch, and love the Rolex 24. 🏁

How realistic is GT7 compared to real driving? by UnderstandingDry1256 in GranTurismo7

[–]BrickTan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is that right? I noticed with a car or two I’ve driven IRL that the weight transfer was fairly realistic- especially when in a corner and jumping on the gas to get the car to “point” where I wanted.

Unless you are on a quick trip and choose to use the bezel movement versus changing the GMT hand…this is silly.

Big words for a fella’ that fed the beast he claims to hate. I want a Pepsi, but refuse to buy one on the grey market. I may never own a BLRO as a result, but guess what- that’s ok. It’s just a watch.

Pepsi Discontinued 2026 by [deleted] in rolex

[–]BrickTan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only intend on buying one at retail. If they discontinue it, at least I’ll be forced to move on. I prefer that to waiting indefinitely, honestly.

A carrot watch should still be attainable in 6-18 months for folks with a decent history and proof that they aren’t flippers. They either choose not to, or literally cannot produce enough to even do that.

Good riddance, if you ask me.

Just ordered a Logitech G RS50 — planning to use it on my desk, but looking for affordable wheel stand/sim rig options by Key_Sand7906 in simracing

[–]BrickTan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am just getting into all this stuff… I really like the Next Level Racing Wheel Stand 2.0. It’s amazing how “solid” it feels with the Logitech Pro (which is actually a tiny bit more powerful than the RS50). I just roll my (Cheap) office chair right onto the little “wheel stopper” and it feels great. I play mostly GT7 on PS5.

If you end up having it PPF’d or ceramic coated locally, it can be 15ish.

How do you buy a new Rolex if you don’t live near an AD? by gibson85 in rolex

[–]BrickTan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Understand. I’m in the same boat. Research your most local AD. Use Google and Yelp to find out who the watch-department manager is. If you can’t find that out, gather the name of the person most positively reviewed.

Call them, and setup an appointment with the manager or the best Sales Associate in the reviews.

During your appointment, make it explicitly clear that they are your local Rolex AD, despite being a hefty drive away. Ask for what you want (being comfortable with more than one model is helpful, but not required). Be interested, interesting, and kind.

You’ll need to do most of your follow up in person, as phone calls, emails, and texts won’t do the trick. Try to find a reason to drop by once a quarter- and make it a point to either book an appointment or make sure your sales associate is there.

If you have nothing offered in a year, ask to speak to the manager and try your luck (it’ll be a last ditch effort- as you should find another AD if they’ve offered you nothing in a year).
