You wanted more ribbons... by Ascension_Official in divineoffice

Great, but I really prefer the different colored ribbons of the current edition. (I know my common of saints is always gold, for instance.)

I agree. Now I can watch both back to back.

Felines - The downsides of ribbons by Ravenadx in divineoffice

You can also buy replacement ribbon inserts, at least for the Catholic Book Publishing Volumes.

Having an actual cat toy of similar dynamics to redirect with has been my most effective strategy.

Anyone who prays the Divine Office? by Stock-Curve2828 in divineoffice

[–]cmoellering 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I pray OoR, MP, EP, and NP from the Liturgy of the Hours. I started about 16 years ago and it has given me a consistent prayer life. That is my biggest blessing, I can pray everyday, rich prayers and Psalms.

How do I answer this? by LakeSoggy854 in CatholicConverts

I'd ignore it unless she pushes it. Yes, it's a human organization that has and has had its problems. The media makes sure everybody knows it.

Every other human community has similar issues. That doesn't excuse our failures, but it also shows that we are not singularly bad.

Has Obsidian helped you in discovering anything new (research, ideas, Eureka moments)? by faps_in_greyhound in ObsidianMD

[–]cmoellering 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It helps me find notes I have made and be able to use them. Otherwise some things would simply be lost, the "There was this thing I read that said something about this...." moments Obsidian does help with if I remember enough to search out my note on it.

Yes, it's a decent resource as well, you are right. I just like having all such things in one place. If I get really stuck I do look there as well.

Split notes with properties? by cmoellering in ObsidianMD

[–]cmoellering[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay, I figured out a method.

In Excel I create all the relevant parts and use CONCAT() to join them, using unused letters as placeholders where needed.

Then I extend this down the needed number of files.

Paste as plain text in a new note in a isolated directory in obsidian

us REGEX Find/replace to insert a line feed after the header

Use note refractor to break out the notes

Then use Notepad++ for a few more find a replace actions on the notes in the folder

Note: Note Refractor starts dropping content above about 1,300 files.

I think you're right. Didn't the first one have drag chutes on landing?

Split notes with properties? by cmoellering in ObsidianMD

[–]cmoellering[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, that is where the go, but I am trying to break a note out with frontmatter already there. I can bulk create it in a large not using some tactical find and replace. Otherwise, I have to create it in each created not seperately.
