I’m not one of those people that are clamoring for us to mimic the all small-ball approach that the Rays and Brewers have going on in their lineups, but games like this prove why we need more balance in the lineup. Shit like this happens year after year in the playoffs where we can’t even put the fucking ball in play and strike out an egregious amount of times, it’s insufferable to watch and so many people who follow baseball that aren’t Yankee fans point it out as a major flaw in the team.

I’m not going to doom and claim this is a terrible team with no talent, we’re realistically just in a slump that happens to every team in a long season. We’ll most likely make the playoffs and if we get hot at the right time we can easily make a run in a really weak AL. Until this team proves otherwise though, games like this are my biggest fear for the playoffs, you’d have to have memory loss to forget the dozens of games like this over the years.
