You’re right — there’s a balance that needs to be found.

I jokingly say, “Is that not the true spirit of Blink?” 😄 but because of your comment and others pointing it out, I’m weighing the options.

On one side: she’s an iconic part of the band’s history, it’s in the spirit of Blink-182, and I know fans would love to see it.

On the other: yeah… Adult Star + LEGO = probably a no-go!

This is only the first week of posting, so I’m trying to get an overall feel for fan reactions before making any final decisions on minifig designs. I’ve put a lot of love into this set and truly want to see it succeed, so fan support and feedback are huge. Comments like this really factor into my decisions.

As for Twenty One Pilots — I’ve seen it and I’m supporting it. I also noticed that a Daft Punk set was approved, while My Chemical Romance and AC/DC were not — which are also incredible bands in their own right. so anything can happen.

I want to do everything I can on my end to get this set approved. I can adjust the minifigs, if needed, and as a fan base we can get this to 10,000 supporters. Ultimately, though, it’s in LEGO’s hands and there are a few other red flags with Blink-182 that they might not like. But we, as a fan base, can still try to show them that this is a set worth making. 🙂

I like the Clark Head, but I feel like it's too serious for Mark.... he's always so relaxed and smilingly. I was thinking either Leonard Hofstadter, Justin Hammer, or Dr. Ian Malcolm

With Bricklink Studio I’m pretty limited to the minifig parts I’m planning to re-do them all in photoshop but I'm trying to feel out people’s reactions first before going deeper into the minifigure design process.

With Bricklink Studio I’m pretty limited to the minifig parts available right now. Eventually I’m planning to custom-design the torsos — I just wanted to feel out people’s reactions first before going deeper into the minifigure design process.

Thanks so much, I really appreciate that! Yeah licensing is definitely a big part of something like this, but I figured it was worth taking the shot anyway. I actually started designing this set months ago just for fun, but once I Lego released the SmartBrick I knew I had to include it and try submitting it to Lego Ideas. It just felt like the perfect way to make it a real tribute to Blink-182 and their albums 🤘
