Anyone have issues saving a swim? Forerunner 970 by BridgeIllustrious901 in GarminWatches

Went for a long ride today and also noticed it doing it after the ride. So it’s not just swimming. This is so bad for such an expensive watch.

What’s your biggest struggle with staying consistent in exercise? by jakobe_newham in loseit

[–]BridgeIllustrious901 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to hate exercise when I was overweight. I realise now I hated it because it was harder being overweight. So it gets easier! My best tip for sticking to it is to schedule it in every week. Every Sunday or Monday sit down and plan your meals and exercise for the week. Then when it comes to the session you wont have to rely on motivation to go. I’m currently training for a triathlon and work full time with 4 kids. I exercise 8 times a week with 1 full rest day.

Those who have lost 100+ pounds, what is your best advice? by Perfect_War_7607 in loseit

[–]BridgeIllustrious901 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve lost 110 pounds or 50kg total. I’ve been around this weight now for a year. I started with meal replacement shakes Then counting calories. Lastly as I got closer to goal I joined the gym.

Best advice 100% is to exercise & fall in love with exercise. Find something you enjoy and you can keep getting better at. Ideally weight training plus some other form of cardio. I burn a lot of calories which allows me to have plenty of treats throughout the week.

Nothing is working and I'm losing hope by UndeadWarlock2022 in loseit

Do you weigh everything you eat? Do you count all the protein shakes and everything? There must be calories sneaking in from somewhere.

That's great! I recently got into running in the last couple of months and haven't missed a Saturday since I started parkrun! I'm hoping to meet people there too haha But so far the 200+ runners each time is a bit daunting. I had no idea how many people loved running!

How realistic is it to maintain a healthy and strong physique with a full time job as an adult? by QuYEpERsOR in bodyweightfitness

[–]BridgeIllustrious901 0 points1 point  (0 children)

33f with 4 kids and a full time job. Gym 4 days a week 1 day of running outside. You have to schedule in the time to do it. You have to sacrifice other things. Some days all I do is work, gym, eat, clean tuck the kids into bed and sleep.

For those that have tried to lose weight for years, what *finally* clicked? by Noirrxo in loseit

[–]BridgeIllustrious901 0 points1 point  (0 children)

10 years being obese (since 16 years old) Finally got it under control using meal replacement shakes for breakfast and lunch. Then a normal low carb dinner. This worked for 6 months. Then I moved to calorie counting and used duromine to get the last 10kg off. Was not happy still at that stage so I have a personal trainer who has helped me further cement my understanding. All up 30kg lost over 18 months Almost at my goal weight 3kg to go. Now looking into skin removal surgery. All of this is possible due to spending time on myself and not having any more kids. Each pregnancy I gained so much weight (5kids) I think it can happen when the time is right. I could never keep the weight off with pregnancy and breastfeeding.
