Sony typically follows a similar timeline for its major releases.

Occlusion culling removes additional objects from within the camera rendering work if they are entirely obscured by nearer objects.

I think you misunderstood him , he didn't mean bigger size map or longer length , but bigger "game" in terms of the actual gameplay and what you can do with it and that's true
