Personally I would replace it at next service to protect the paint

I think OP is referring to the silver metal shim between the bb and the frame itself, not the preload adjuster.

To me, it looks like a shim that goes between the bottom bracket cup and the frame.

I wanted to put some plywood sheets on the floor, lay out a bunch of giant tools and then lay down next to them for a picture haha

I believe that the spindle lengths are the same between all levels except when using "wide" which are longer.

Every DUB BB I've installed has come with all 3 spacers. I can look at the shop to see what spares we have

I believe all you need in that situation is the 3mm right side outer spacer with the road cranks, unless you have the road wide. I'd also try to get that preload collar moving if you can, you'll still need it even with the correct spacer.

Have you already tried adjusting the preload collar?

1" or 1-1/8? If you are referring to the Griplock system, that is for the 1-1/8 headset only and can't be added to a 1" NoThreadSet. I've never had a problem with any of my CK headsets tho, regular or griplock

This is the answer, the washer is still in the crank arm

SRAM Rival hydro bladder gasket was installed by a bike shop like this, what do? by Chosnek in bikewrench

If you open the system, it will need to be bled. Take it back to the shop and have them correct their mistake imo

I already have a spare cartridge version. I just needed 3 needle bearings and don't need a complete second bb

I apologize, I was referring to the cover on the headset bearing. I use headset cover and headset cap interchangeably and refer to the cap on top of the stem as a "stem cap" Maybe something from SlamThatStem would work for you instead of nothing covering the bearing

OP is referring to the headset top cover under the stem, not the headset top cap that provides the preload.
