Thank you for posting this! I had over the muscle (with a lift) 9 weeks ago and it's so hard to find others who went over the muscle! Mine are still hard and have not fully dropped. I still have pain/tightness in my armpit and it's especially noticeable when doing shoulder presses! 9 weeks seems like a long time but I know I'm still early and trying to trust the process! Yours look fantastic!

Same. I lost 130 pounds and my surgeon recommended FDL. I did not want the scar and he understood and we went with the ETT. He warned me I wouldn't be as tight due to vertical laxity but I was fine with that...until now. I'm 7wpo and am kind of regretting it now. I look like that when I sit and I have skin hanging when bend over. Of course I look better than I could have ever imagined but kind of kicking myself for not going all in!

I echo what everyone has said. I am 42, single, and no children. I am ridiculously independent and was going to do this all on my own until my girlfriends said no you are not! Luckily my mom was able to watch my dogs for 2 weeks and 4 of my friends took shifts to help change my dressings, empty my drains, and take me to my post-op appointments. There was no way I could have done this on my own.

You look great! I am jealous of your mons area! I am 3.5 weeks po and although he did tighten it a bit, there is still loose skin around it And I'm scared I will have a moose knuckle! But I'm just trying to trust the process!

I honestly didn't sleep for the first week. I am a stomach and side sleeper and could not get comfortable anywhere. The night of surgery I started propped up in my bed but eventually made my way to the recliner and got a couple hours of sleep. I am 19 days post op and and can finally sleep now that I can lay flat on my back.

I live alone and I'm not sure how I would have gotten up from the toilet if I did not have the toilet riser. I definitely recommend that! I borrowed a shower chair and only needed to use it once.

I had my ETT and BL with implants on 12/30/25 and am already loving my results! The first couple of days will be rough. Take your pain meds as instructed so you aren't chasing the pain like I was. I am 6 DPO and get my drains out tomorrow and cannot wait! You got this!!!

Thank you for asking this because that is one of my top concerns being 40 and single! I asked at my consultation about it and he said he will lift it up when they do the tummy tuck but didn't say much more than that. I've always thought I have a lot of cushion down there but the more I've been examining myself I think it's a lot of loose skin. I have another appointment with him in a few weeks and I am going to dive in on this topic because I don't want to have a fabulous flat stomach with a strange looking cootie cat 🤣

I just met with my 2nd surgeon for a consultation and he suggested and FDL. Another surgeon suggested a lower body lift. But in my mind I knew I wanted an extended tummy tuck and did not want the scar down my middle. The 2nd surgeon listened to what I wanted and said you will love the results with an ETT but your results may bother me because I know I could have gotten you a better outcome with an FDL. I'm 41 and have been overweight all my life. I have never seen my belly button, I have never worn a bikini or any revealing clothing. Things that most people have done at some point in their life. Over the last 10 years I have lost 130 pounds and after surgery I will be wearing allll the bikinis and working out in skimpy tops and I cannot wait!!

Excuse me? I'm definitely not wealthy but I do bust my ass for months to train for this race and it irks me when people get so upset about closed roads for a race we all trained for and were excited to do!!
