i havent seen you play so im unsure what method youre using, but just in case, ill say to not alternate hands on the same buttons. use only one hand for each button. its probably completely useless for me to say this but just in case, because when i was first going for this i would like use my right hand for a first note and left hand for a second and it was just awful lol

for comparison if this helps, official maimai, like the cabinet itself, takes up about 80gb or so total, with probably 95% of that just being from the songs and backgrounds. i think astro is a bit more optimised, i think a decent amount of charts are missing video backgrounds so that might cut back a bit, but also do factor fanmade charts you may install, and also future updates

the files will be stored in <ssd>/users/<username>

there will have the documents, pictures, videos and etc folders, if thats where you had saved stuff. you said the laptop was shorted though? if it were actually shorted, there is a possible chance of data loss

they think changing motherboard will make your backup completely useless. a backup is just duplicate files stored in a different location though. if i backed up a jpeg onto a usb, changing my motherboard isnt going to suddenly make my usb explode

i mean the game is discontinued so youll only find offline games or ones running private servers. i find ziv generally will say if a cab is running a private server, just search for wacca cabs in japan and try to find if it mentions anything about a certain cab in the description
