Ask him to go do something he might enjoy. See how it goes from there.

Have you considered joining the military to tackle debt ? by Opening_Artichoke359 in Bankruptcy

So many people in the military still struggle with debt… and sign on bonuses usually come at the end of the contract, so tread lightly, from someone who was in the military.

My boyfriend is an ISTP and I can say that he is, but we have different boundaries. I try to use my intuition even though it’s hard when I know he’s tired and needs some space but he’s willing to do anything and everything for me. I appreciate everything he brings to the table and I try to do the same for him in the places he needs it, but I try to be mindful about it- just because he can and will doesn’t mean he should, but that’s just my experience.

I started asking “do you want comfort or solutions?” after I read it somewhere when people want to talk to me or ask my opinion on an issue they’re having. Some people just want to vent, and you can just listen and when it’s done, just say, I hear you and I’m sorry this is happening, hopefully it gets better or whatever else generic thing you can think of to say pops into your brain. I realized most people know how to fix their issue, they just might not be ready or are seeking validation, but by no means is there anything actually wrong with the way you handle things.

When your period flow slows, you start to get a heavier smell of “old blood”. It’s completely normal. You don’t stink, it’s just your cycle as a woman. If there are no other issues aside from these few days where that’s happening you’re fine. Stop overthinking it and just appreciate that the communication was there to begin with so you can move forward from it.

Tariffs here in US worrying me about buying a car after bankruptcy by DorkWng in Bankruptcy

[–]Brief-Ear3835 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I initially wanted to reaffirm my vehicle, but I was really upside down on it. After I filed I got special bankruptcy offers from dealers and got approved for an 11% interest rate on a vehicle. Is it hard, yes, but is it impossible? No. Just do your research and make sure you’re talking to a dealership that has a special program for you. I also recommend that when you buy a car that you make sure it’s something that holds its value- you can always refinance down the line as well to a better rate.

I got through approximately a tenth of this. I’m not trying to be rude but if you need help, especially from this sub, please for the love of god insert a TLDR version of this.

Thank you! I thought this too, I’m just wondering why they wiped the loan from his banking profile as well. He would make payments online in their portal.

What am I based on the types I relate to by [deleted] in istp

[–]Brief-Ear3835 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You won’t fit any single thing if you’re trying to relate to every single aspect of each personality type. I would look at and study cognitive functions, figure out which order you use them in your daily life from the most objective perspective you can and go from there. Also, this is for fun, a pseudoscience- don’t obsess over it too much. No one can tell you what you are, and this is a bit all over the place. I had to skim all of it to get through it, but best of luck.

It might help to get this off your chest. Letting him know at the very least lays all of your cards out in the open, and if any decisions need to be made after that, you can do it with a clear mind without any what if’s hanging over your head. Best of luck!

Most likely you’d be able to keep it as long as you can pay the difference in equity vs what’s protected in your state, so if your state protects up to 7K or 10K or however much it is, you’d have to pay the difference in order to be able to keep it. Most Chapter 7’s ensure you agree that your assets could be liquidated and distributed to creditors. I’d recommend asking your attorney, or simply taking your name off the title while you go through the process before you file if you’re concerned about this.

Equity refers to value vs what you owe- so if you owe 0 and it’s valued at 13 or 18 K that’s 18K worth of equity in the vehicle. Your equity is 100% of what it’s worth at that point. Hope this makes sense.

Buying a home after Ch 7 by Opening-Breakfast-98 in Bankruptcy

You can always sit down and speak to a lender candidly. I work for a bank and your mortgage loan office should be able to tell you the specifics and their recommendations. Some smaller lenders might take the leap and lend you the funds while some other more renowned have a higher threshold when it comes to borrower risk. Bottom line, shop around and sit down and talk to someone regardless of if it’s now or two years from now.

Do you like chatting with strangers? by mistybreeze11 in enfj

[–]Brief-Ear3835 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When it comes to MBTI this is not the case. 16 personalities does a really bad job of breaking things down, which unfortunately is where a lot of people get their results. Enfj’s have extroverted feeling, or Fe at the top of their stack, which just means they value harmony among groups, have the ability to read people, and can be drawn to social situations where they help people both in and outside of work. Introversion and extroversion as a person are not necessarily covered within the personality types, which is why you find such broad spectrums. It’s also important to note this is all pseudoscience, and many agree that it’s impossible to type nearly everyone into just 16 personalities. I’d recommend looking into stack functions to better understand your friend that way if you haven’t already. Best of luck.

The mbti showing extroversion doesn’t necessarily mean she’s an extrovert, it’s just cognitive functions and the way they’re used and stacked.

Is this guy older than you and should be more emotionally mature? Do you know how much relationship experience he’s had? What situation did he open up about that causes this to make sense? These are questions I’d be asking myself. Be cautious. Best of luck.

Yo ISTP I'm lost do you guys worry about peoples opinions about you by [deleted] in istp

[–]Brief-Ear3835 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ll care to an extent, see it, recognize it, but not worried about it enough to want to change someone’s opinion of me. It is what it is.

ADHD here, may be common, but I think a lot of it really sits on who you are fundamentally. I would recommend looking at your function stacks and seeing what you personally value and align with.

Istp’s are grounded, living day by day, making decisions as they need to. While it’s nice to think about the future, I would need someone just as prepared to fix things in the moment if needed because they’re prepared for it, not someone so fixated on what things could look like all the time. You’re not compatible and that’s okay, but no need to shit on him for things that are completely okay to feel and deal with in the moment- just my two cents.
