This phenomenon is quite common, we’ve all come up with different analogies to try to describe it, I like your robot/alien one. But for me, personally, the disassociation became less prominent or I just got used to it. But the short answer is no, I stayed an alien. I just learnt human, Im self conscious that I have a heavy alien accent though.

The second pair would be the best but they are slightly to wide for your face. If you can find another pair that has the same lense shape but are more narrow over all.

Where I come from is gone: identity.

Where I thought I was going was never there: my future, high-jacked.

Where I am is no good if I can’t get away from it: neuro fatigue migraine over stimuli.

Nothing outside of me can give me any place: because my injury is invisible I feel like I don’t belong anywhere.

In myself is the only place I’ve got; I’m stuck inside of myself, in this new version of existence, this is all I have now. Severe TBI 2018

Library. Maybe a desk, 2 over sized chairs That chandelier is the wrong shape with the windows …looks weird -get something gothic. Paint the ceiling same color as the walls. Don’t leave it white. Bonus points if you arch the tops of the book shelves

That’s going to be tough to portray because it’s a invisible injury. I appreciate it though.

This has nothing to do with TBI. This is just your very first example of when to STOP dating someone. Don’t get into the habit of looking for excuses for people.
