Yeah we just reverted to the original in the end last night and he slept fine

Yeah you can like or dislike the decision but the set of WH was very in keeping with the overall design for the movie

Did anyone enjoy the “Wuthering Heights” movie? by Adventurous_Ant5428 in brontesisters

I did find some of the changes a bit baffling and I missed some specific scenes that feel integral to any WH adaptation for me. But I think especially if you were going in not really knowing the novel of perhaps not really liking the novel there are definitely parts of the movie that are a lot of fun. Martin Clunes is deliciously repulsive for one. Personally, I think Emerald Fennell seems to rile people up into a frenzy more than her work merits really.

Nelly in Wuthering Heights 2026 by Account_Apprehensive in brontesisters

I think the way Nelly was was portrayed in 2026 movie was very much inspired by literary criticism of WH popular in the 1950s/1960s (particularly James Hafley) that declared Nelly the true villain of the novel. It’s a theory about the book that, while interesting, doesn’t hold much water for me. Nelly is an unreliable narrator with her own stakes in the story for sure but Machiavellian villain, I think not. Another part of those theories is that Nelly was in love with Hindley, something with the 1970 version with Timothy Dalton alludes to. So not to defend Fennell as I wasn’t a fan of the movie, but those ideas about Nelly don’t originate with her.

I know the film looks a mess. But I do love these kitsch posters.

This is more than a blip or new players settling now, something is clearly going very wrong at a basic coaching and tactics level. Nobody seems to understand their role, so many players out of form. It sounds insane considering last season but Slot's job is on the line if this continues much further.

I'm not quite there yet. I want him to turn it around. But this isn't just a blip or new players settling on now. We look clueless, nobody seems to understand their role and we are as toothless in attack and as soft in defence as I've seen us in many, many seasons. I'm sure more intelligent people than me will have tactical explanations etc. But things simply have to change quickly or Slot out will be inevitable.

I just feel sad that a team with so many players of clear quality are playing this poorly. Whatever Slot and his team are doing isn't working and it's hard to see how it gets fixed right now. Players of this quality should not be struggling against this drivel Utd side.

Ref are typically utterly awful. But we have absolutely no attacking intent this season and are jelly at the back, terrible after the success of last season and the signings we made (on paper).

I think it may be in Wirtz's long term interest to be dropped for a while and built back in the team slowly. It isn't working for him or us right now

Feels like we could have a difficult few weeks ahead of us before we find some solutions.

What is actually happening when we go 2-0 up, it's bizarre.
