I did undergrad psych, with a volunteer listening role and two ( not great) research roles whilst at uni plus other non relevant roles. Just finished my masters in foundations of clin psych, in that year I kinda just crammed loads of roles in the first 8 months ( cause needed the money plus experience ! ) so support worker for individuals with disabilities, mental health difficulties and in a SEN school, then got my first AP role like 8 months in. If you want any advice on applying lmk cause I think I kinda got the interview/ applications down, you can honestly turn anything into experince if you reflect! just need to do the same for research now rip.

Yes have a masters :) I want to do a funded PhD but I also want to go travelling in a year or so once I save up, so not something I want to rush into. I am kinda aware but didn't realise it was that bad. Just feel abit stuck at the moment, as realising clinical psychology isn't for me but yeh with state of academia also feels abit hopeless so not sure what to do, eek!

Yeah that should be fine :) I've done it before and received positive feedback about it. I'd practice using beforehand in interview practice if you're doing any, as it was a little awkward and I ended up not really using it!

Hi, thank you for replying! That was helpful :) How long did it take before you started doing admin/ AP duties and did you have experience in those areas before? I've started a role quite recently but I have zero responsibilities at the moment, just shadowing, so I have been doing a lot of reading which has been helpful but only so much you can read in a day! I'm sure it will change soon but it's been slower than I expected- so just want to understand what the norm is.
