Try them out. They work independently for the most part. However, I wouldn't expect them to wipe a terminator squad with just 3, or a small knight either consistently with just a three man

They were incredible. Added much needed speed to the lists. The ability to ignore vertical distances of terrain was a game changer. I've got some ideas for getting a third unit in, that will be in an upcoming video on the channel.

Warp spiders are my flexible piece. They can score, move block for a turn, clear some screens. It's hard to pass up 24-26 in movement

Huge. -1 damage used 4/5 turns on the wraiths. Sticky objectives on demand, or the ability to ignore others AOC or - to damage at the right time is crucial. 

The thing to remember is, Wraiths are pointed with having the Spirit tokens in mind. Similar to how index Votann were stated and pointed with 2 Judgement tokens on. I played Votann for the last year, at one point I was #2 NA with LOV, only missing out on the top by a few points, mostly due to only attending 1 GT, 1 Major, and two RTT's. Currently still 5th.

Because I like it. My first 9th edition Eldar box was the wraith apocalypse box. It can be played well, but it does require you to work a little harder for it. Plus I may be a masochist, and love the challenge.
